I’m using the most current IOS update and the fitbit 3.6.1 update. Still can’t open the app. **ahem** down my phone to restart it. Still not working.

Looking at the main thread for this problem, there are a few posts from people still having the issue as you are. It's worth keeping an eye on that thread - and maybe post there too - to see if there are any further updates forthcoming from fitbit:

My app worked just fine, until I updated to 3.6.1... this is so frustrating.

For the rest of us the crashing started with 3.6 and was fixed with 3.6.1 so you may have a different issue
