Battery and heart rate issues

Fitbit Blaze is not registering heart rate and battery is draining at an alarming rate! Took it off the charger around 10:00 am and now at 12:48 pm I am getting low battery warnings. Unbelievable! I have only used this for 18 months!

The same thing is happening to mine. Started a few days ago. Cleaned it, reset it several times, turned off all syncs, notifications, you name it. I've had it since December 2016. This is very frustrating.

It is extremely frustrating! I have had mine since September 2016. I think
they should last longer than 18 months for the price. I checked into a
replacement battery, but I am not sure if I want to attempt that...too much
to break in the process of getting to the battery, but if FitBit is not
going to help out, I would be willing to try it!

I’m convinced this is a software issue, the same exact thing started happening to me on Saturday: battery draining, sleep insights not tracking when they were before, no heart rate monitoring.  And I bought mine under 2 years ago.  They have offered me a 25% discount, but I think I’m going to ride this out because they seem to correct themselves over time.  I have a Flex I bought 5 years ago and while the battery is up and down, it seems to be okay now for some weird reason. A warm welcome to the Community @DMcNorrill@Ahencher@lenperalta great to see you here and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the battery and heart rate issues you are experiencing with your trackers. Regarding the battery, I recommend taking a look and follow the instructions provided in this post and for the heart rate at this one.

About the 25% discount, you can use that to purchase any Fitbit tracker (except the new ones). In this page, you will be able to compare them all and maybe there is one that might like you besides the Blaze.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

Thank you for the information. I have followed the instructions to clean the Fitbit, used a toothbrush/toothpick to scrape away all the "gunk" it has accumulated. I then put it back on the charger (plugged into the wall, not a computer) and let it fully charge. I then wore it for 3 hours, even turning off all notifications, syncing, you name it. It still died. This started happening out of nowhere. I have had it since December 2016 and haven't had any battery issues at all.

I tried everything and still no heart rate reading. I charged last night in a regular household socket. It was dead within 2 hours. Try charging this morning with a USB charger, looked like everything was fine. I took it off the charger and put it on my wrist within about 45 minutes I get an alert on my phone that my Blaze battery is low and a few minutes later, itsi dead again!

Experiencing the same things here! I guess they are only built to last
about 12 to 18 months? The battery replacement thing looks like too many
things could go wrong with that! I'm extremely disappointed with my Blaze
because I waited a while before buying one to see how they would hold up.

This is more than frustrating. I turned off a bunch of stuff and that seemed to help battery life, but I turned stuff back on and the charge only lasts 5 hours. No wonder blaze is not being pushed and the more expensive Iconic is. Blaze only lasts less than 24 months. Sad!
