Fitbit Update: 09/3/2017
Our team is still actively investigating the root cause of this battery drain with Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. I'm sorry that many of you are still having issues with a shorter battery life, but rest assured this is being looked at as high-priority for our team. My apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your patience! I will provide an update as soon as there is more information available. In the meantime, please continue manually syncing your Blaze trackers only when needed. This will help preserve the battery-life.
Fitbit Update: 08/14/2017
Hi everybody!
Thanks for reporting your experiences with a rapid battery drain on Blaze trackers and your Android device - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Our team is aware this is affecting Blaze users and they are investigating the root cause. I will update this thread when there is more information available.
As a temporary workaround, turn OFF "Always Connected" and the "All-Day sync" features. Make sure to manually sync your devices at least once a day.
Thanks for your patience!

Hi I was wondering if the problem has been fixed? It's frustrating charging my Fitbit everyday because of this problem

I've reached out to customer service and basically received a generic e-mail "solution". Basically turn every feature off of the Blaze and use it as very expensive pedometer. I've also linked a this thread on the reply to the customer service rep. I feel like they are blowing us off.

Wow, I had no idea everyone else was having this problem. My Blaze battery started draining quickly a few months ago (still under warranty). I never put 2 and 2 together - I had just switched to the Galaxy S8+. A few weeks ago, I chatted with tech support and they agreed my old Blaze was draining too quickly, so they sent me a new one. It may have been a little better - but still only about 2- 2 1/2 days at best.
I just logged back on to tell them the new one had the same problem as the old one, and that I must have gotten a defective new unit. Ha- now after reading these posts, I guess it's not not the Blaze by itself, but the two together.
By the way - my push notifications work. I get my text and phone calls, no problem. I didn't do anything special - not that I recall. Just set them up and they work.
My link to GPS tracking during exercise works as well. I just have the battery drain issue.

I am experiencing this as well on my iPhone 7. This has been happening now for the past week and a half. I have to charge it every other day instead of charging it every 4 days.

Glad to know it's not just the S8/S8+ but also the iPhone 7.

Fitbit knows about the problems now, from 2 weeks ago:

It may be the blaze battery. If it is under warranty, contact them to replace. I had to do that. Went from 4 days to 2 days to 24 hours and the 12 hours over the course of 2 weeks.

Mine just barely last 12 hrs before it needs a recharge and I am using an Iphone.
Disable everything and remove from phone to see if there is still and issue. If so, return it.

@Bushman wrote:After giving up on the Fitbit-abandoned Samsung S8, I am still having battery drain issues. Fully charged yesterday. Died overnight. WTF. I don't even have the app installed on the S8 now I know Fitbit have abandoned it.
This is getting ridiculous - for a 'premium device'.
Contact support and get a replacement if still under warranty.

Having the same issue, charged my Blaze yesterday and today it's dead.

@Bushman and @FitForLife8. Simply removing thr app or even removing the Blaze from your Fitbit account will not remove the Blaze from the phone.
To disconnect the Blaze from thr phone you need to go into the Phones Bluetooth settings and remove the Blaze from there.

After several days of dealing with the battery drain (with the iPhone 5s as my sync) now my Fitbit Blaze is completely zapped!!! it will not charge, the face of the watch is completely blacked out, tried various plugs in the house and my computer and nothing... dead, completely dead. Also, important note on the last time it held a charge (which was only about 2 hours, after charging it overnight) I wore the Blaze and it got super hot, so hot that it felt like it was burning my skin! Be careful if you are having this battery drain issue and wearing it for the short period that it is charged.. I called the Fitbit Help line and talked to a rep, my Blaze is no longer under warranty but they offered to replace it or give me 50% off a new item.

The first couple of weeks with my S8+ was fine... only had to charge every 2 days at the most and it now doesn't last a full day. This is crazy! I have lowered almost all of the setting and it sometimes doesn't even "locate" it. I had to restart my Blaze to be able to sync it again

Guess that not it. Thanks for posting.
And just like that, notifications stopped working. I didn't even change anything and they just stopped working out of nowhere...lol.

Johnny, since mine quit, did your start back up? 🙂
