Battery indicator discrepancy

My Fitbit Blaze tracker is flashing red, telling me to charge the battery.  The app still has the battery at medium.  Why are the two different?

The app only knows the battery level as it was when it last synced.

I manually synced it and it was still orange, while there charger was blinking red.

hmm, if the sync doesn't get them on the same page then I'm confused

Does the step count in the app match the step count on the tracier?

What about fitbit.com?

I didn't check that.  Have been dealing with a migraine all week.  I will check it the next time it happens though.
