Battery issues

I’ve had my Fitbit Blaze a little over a year. I’ve never had issues with the battery until a week or so ago. I used to charge my Fitbit while I showered in the morning (which usually resulted in a full battery), and that would be enough for it to last at least a day and a half. Now, the battery is dead by lunchtime. I’ve turned off all day synching which hasn’t helped. Again, this wasn’t a problem until a week ago, so it can’t be that the battery has just reached the end of its shelf life.

Customer support seems to be as reliable as my Blaze! My Blaze is fully charged, but when I start to use it it quits. Put it back in the charger and it shows a full charge and so on... is there a quick fix for this?

Sam with me.

Battery barely last a few hours. Hugely frustrating.

Anyone got tips/advice?

So turning off all your notifications and setting the backlight to dim helps, but it’s still drains faster than it should. I contacted customer support where they had me do what they called a battery test (basically taking the steps I just outlined). They determined that my battery was in fact draining faster than it should have (duh), and since my blaze wasn’t under any kind of warranty, they’ve offered me a 25% discount on a new Fitbit. I tried talking them up to at least 35%-40% since I spent at least $75 on accessories, but they wouldn’t budge.

Long answer to your question...no real way to fix the issue and Fitbit clearly has no interest in actually fixing the problem.

At least I won’t waste my time with customer service! This all seems very suspect to be honest. In light of this not sure I’ll stick with Fitbit in the future and this was my first one!

The only reason I would suggest reaching out to customer service is that you may be covered by warranty, and if not might be eligible for a discount on a new Fitbit.

Also there’s a very idealistic part of me that hopes if enough people complain about the issues then they’ll do something about it other than ask you to buy a new one.

Did that and performed battery test only to be told the canned answer of nothing they can do but they will give me a discount.  I suppose it's better than nothing but seems strange that it died so quickly.  It's not winning me over for sure...

I am having the same issue. My Blaze was working fine. It had run out of charge after 4 days, which I would expect. However, since I have fully charged it, now it keeps shutting down on me after an hour. I put it back in the charger for several hours again, it appeared to be fine, only I see it shuts down within an hour. Now when I place it back in the charger, it shows it is fully charged, I put in back on, and it shuts down again, within an hour. Please help!
