Just received a FitBit Blaze for Christmas, all going well, however just completed a Bike ride - set to Exercise and Bike which connected to I Phone GPS however did not record the distance?
Also recorded steps while cycling, but having read on some other boards people advised to log manually? Ideally want to record bpm etc
Any tips on how to record my cycling distance?

Hi there @LinnyLou2. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry you're having problems with the distance not tracking when you're recording your bike rides 😕
That sounds a little strange... Normally, tracking a bike ride from your Blaze directly and even more when it connects to your phone's GPS, should keep track of your distance without any problem. Now, there's another instance where your tracker will automatically record your activity for you without you putting your tracker into any mode. This is called SmartTrack and with this feature, it will not record your distance either on bike rides or walks or runs, etc.
Now, just to be sure, I'd recommend disabling smart track for bike rides specifically. For this, go into the app, tap on the Account section at the top right corner, scroll down to Exercise and here look for the Auto Recognized Exercises section. Look for Outdoor Bike and in the Auto-Recognize option, make sure it's disabled.
Also, you could try restarting your tracker. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.
Try going out for a bike ride again and see how it goes. Let me know if you need more help with this!
