Blaze Battery Not Holding Charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
So I've had my Blaze for a little over 2 years and have always had a great experience with it. Lately, I've noticed that I have to charge it far more often than I used to. And it's gotten even worse. Last night, I charged it to almost full (probably 80%) before going to bed. I took it off the charger and went to bed around 11:30pm. I had zero interaction with the tracker, with the exception of my alarm waking me up around 7am. I went to work and noticed around 10am that my better was dying (logo flashing in the corner). I made it through my work day, but then it completely died around 3:30pm. Not sure why this is all of a sudden an issue. Any suggestions? I really hope this isn't like cell phones nowadays that only get solid battery life for a few years and then have to replace.

Welcome to the forums!

They do not last forever. But try these steps

Please clean the contacts
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/My-tracker-s-battery-isn-t-charging/?q=not+chargi...

Then Do a Restart
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?q=restart&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

Same thing happening with my wife's Blaze.  Also had it about two years, also lasted 5 or 6 days, also just started dying after 10 to 12 hours after a full charge.  Used two different chargers, same problem.  Cleaned the contacts on both the charging device and the Blaze itself.  I am a pretty smart technician, and I know how to clean electronic devices, and this doesn't help.  I, for one, am getting tired of reading all of these posts that tell everyone to turn it off, restart it, clean the contacts, blah blah blah.  Been there, done that.  It does nothing to fix the problem.  The battery does not hold a charge long enough to get through a day.  How about a reply or post about how long the battery should last?  How about a reply discussing a fix?  Is it because the only true fix is to buy another one?  Batteries of this size do not last that long.  If this is the problem, then the company needs to say so.

While I understand that no piece of technology or battery will last forever, I would expect it to last longer than 2 years and if it doesn't, it is something that needs to be started. These are not cheap and my purchase of it was not taken lightly, so it's expect full disclosure if I'm going to end up having to buy an entirely new device every 2 years, as that is quite frankly, ridiculous
