Blaze Battery Notification

I never get notification for low battery for my Blaze. How about an app that gives notifications on battery life at 50%, 25%, 10% or something similar. This way I don't walk around all day with a dead watch or have to guess when I need to recharge.

Great to see you here @sllimbri! Just wanted you to know that I've gone ahead and moved your recent topic "Blaze Battery Notification" to the Blaze board in an effort to tidy up the Forums. Also, this post may be helpful to other users with the same inquiry as you. For your reference, you had originally posted your question in the Alta board, which is dedicated to discussion around how to use Alta and its features.

Regarding your low battery notification, you can choose to receive certain Fitbit notifications directly on your phone or by email. Notifications include low battery warnings. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon.
  2. Choose Settings > Notifications and select Mobile or Email for each type of notification.
  3. Click Save.

Thanks for your understanding! 🙂

Thanks for your reply @sllimbri! Please confirm if you already checked if you have enabled the option in your settings as I mentioned in my previous post. If you have it enabled, please disable it and sync. After the sync, enable the notification again and sync again.

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😉

The only notifications I can select are calls, text, email, calendar, and apps. There are no other options specifically for low battery via text or email.

Here's a direct link to your settings notifications: https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/notifications

It's at the very top of the list and looks like this:

Remember to sync your tracker after implementing changes.

There's a feature suggestion for Fitbit to add battery percentage, which you can vote for here.

Hope this helpedSmiley Happy

For you to get a notification of a low battery several things must happen.

Your tracker needs to comunicate thr low battery status to the server,  this is done through a sync if the tracker.

Now the server will notify you.

Since you have a Blaze, in response to the feature request of users, you can view the battery status at any time right on the wrist. Simply swipe to any screen but the clock

I already get notifications by email, but why can't I get a vibration on the actual FITBIT like I do for calls, texts, etc.  I don't look at my email (or the Fit Bit app on my phone) constantly and many times I have gone all day with no battery or even totally lost use of the Fit Bit.  It just seems like this should have been the FIRST noticication/vibration that would have been added to the the Fit Bit.  (I have the Blaze).

If this was addressed in the forums, I didn't find it (after going through 4 of the 31 pages of suggestions on the Blaze page, I finally googled "Blaze Battery Notification" to find this post.

I’d rather trade my congratulatory notifications for hitting my steps goal for low battery notifications. Why did Fitbit developer design the Blaze so that you have to sync with your app before you get notified for low battery. Doesn’t make sense!  I get all kinds of notifications on my Fitbit Blaze watch except for simple alerts or vibrations to tell me that my Blaze is dying.

When the battery gets low <10% on my trackers when I look at my arm it gives me a low battery notice. I still easily get the rest of the day.

@NykoWoro my iIask how often does your tracker sync? Do you have all day sync turned on?

Please be aware the your Fitbit Account will not know your trackers battery status until the tracker has synced. If the tracker is set to sync only when the app is open, then yes this will be when the battery notification will be sent .

I just noticed that I got an alert on my phone screen in the past 2 weeks that the battery was getting low, but sure would be nice if I'd get the vibration like I do for text messages since I'm not looking at my phone 24/7.

@MarSkis under App notifications enable the Fitbit app .This will send every fitbitFnotification that goes to the phones notification panel to also be sent to the Blaze .

The obvious place to put a low battery notification is on the watch itself. Why not just add this in? The watch knows its own battery percentage already, otherwise how would it send notifications to phone or email?
