Blaze Battery

Hi all,
I have had a quick look and haven't been able to find a thread with the same problem.

My blaze battery life doesn't seem to last longer than 2 days from fully charged, for the last three or four charge cycles it just dies after 2 days.

Does anyone have any help/tips for me? I have no idea why this is happening! I sync manually with my phone once a day, and I don't generally play with the watch face too much - just to check the time or my steps a few times a day or to set an alarm.

Any help would be appreciated,

Serena.

Do you get a lot of notifacations from people calling?

Try a restart. Sometimes doing it a few times helps.

Hi,

I don't get many notifications through my Fitbit at all - I've had it turned off as I only use that when I'm at work or out running and I've been home sick for the past fortnight so I haven't done either of those things haha.

I'll give the restart a go and see if it helps.

Thank you so much.

The opposite of what you think should happen with your battery is happening. I found this out with my Surge. Without the notifications and sync running with your phone, the watch is spending a lot of battery searching for the information. Granted your phone will have a decreased battery, but your watch will run strong. This is NOT a techincal answer - this is my personal trial and error. My Surge would only last 24 hours when I wasn't running notifications and all day sync and happiness! Give it a go and see if it helps your case.

Thanks Angela!

Dianne's advice didn't help for me on this occasion. However, Wendy's suggestion of resetting the Blaze helped immensely. It's now up and running perfectly.

Thank you.

I bought my Blaze last Sunday and I am having issues with the battery.  Mine is only lasting about 2 days before I have to charge it.  I have all notifications off.  The brightness is on auto.  I manually sync it to my phone or my computer, but it takes multiple tries before it can find it.  I have reset my Blaze when I try to sync it to my computer I have my phones bluetooth off and when I sync it to my phone I am not in the same room as my computer.  I thought the battery was suppose to last much longer.  I have the Zip, One, Flex, Charge, and Charge HR and now the Blaze.  I love fitbit I thnk it's a great company with great products, but this is dissapointing me.  Please help

my blaze batter came off the charger at 730am, its now 1030am Same day, and it is almost already dead..  I got this fitbit from my boss because the screen cracked, and he got a replacement.. Only reason i got it, is we work in wellness and fitness devices are huge and I am trying to familiarize myself with many of the versions, typically have 2+ on at a time during work.

I will try this. Got the Blaze for my son Christmas and it was originally holding charge easily the whole week. Now maybe two days at most.

Same here my battery now only lasts for 4 hours. This started to happen on Thursday of this week, I always charge it via original charger as I have done since it was new. For troubleshooting I tried a friends charger but it is the same, battery dead in 4 hours after a full charge. Called Fitbit support yesterday (case # 24265291), was told they don't have enough sync data to see what is going on with the battery. The tech on the phone asked me to fully charge the battery and make sure to sync the Blaze with the iPhone about 3 to 6 time during the day (today) and as soon as the battery dies to call back Fitbit support. I followed these instructions, charged the battery, synced it about 7 times so they have more info\data to look at, as expected after 4 hours the battery died so I called Fitbit support.

I was told by technician on the phone that "Yes they can see that the battery dies in 4 hours" but sorry nothing we can do as my Blaze is no longer under the first 12 month warranty. He said this is not the norm for the Blaze and offered me a 25% discount towards a purchase of a new device. (I don't want a new device, I expect a $200 watch to work longer than 16 months!!!).

Basically Fitbit is saying that after 12 months and 1 day they are not responsible if the battery no longer holds a charge. Fitbit is telling me to go and buy a new $200 Versa or $300 Ionic device because Blaze is no longer sold by Fitbit in USA, So every 14 to 16 month I have to go out and buy a new Fitbit? No Thank you Fitbit. I will move on to another company.

Too bad as I have purchased 3 Blaze watches (1 for me and 2 as Xmas gifts for friends),  1 "Charge 2" for the wife and 1 Alta for the child.

Good buy Fitbit.
