Blaze Buttons don't work

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The buttons on my blaze have stopped working. I can move my wrist to activate display, but now it is stuck on something and I can't get back to time or anything. I can't click left button just to get back to 'home' or 'time.' Once after I charged the device the unit stayed on non stop and I couldn't get it to turn off - so the battery died in like 6 hours. The main issue is the buttons not working. I never get my device wet or dirty. I searched here and followed the instructions to shutdown the unit and restarted it but the problem persists. Seems like a mechanical issue - not sure if it can be solved with a restart anyway but I tried. What are my options here?

It does sound like a mechanical issue in which case there's not really much that can be done.

Are you still within warranty? It runs for 12 months from purchase (24 months if you are in Europe) and you can contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com to discuss your options.

Even if you are out of warranty it's worth contacting them to see if they can help in any way.

Hi, my Blaze has just encountered the same issue. Both my Back (left side) and the select (lower right side) buttons do not work.

The select button has stopped working a couple of months ago but is workable being as most applications has a touch screen button too. However, couple of days ago the back button stopped working, being as it is used to exit many applications, my watch has become useless.

Any solutions?

just finished chatting with fitbit support.  They suggested to remove dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick around the button.

This worked to get the "back button" working again. It did not appear to be dirty but it did make a huge difference. The  select button did not respond to cleaning and still does not work but the watch is usable again.  🙂
