I currently own the Surge, but my band is splitting which seems a design flaw thus I don't want another Surge, so I am considering getting the Blaze. Per the specs the only difference between the two devices is the Surge has a gps chip and the Blaze does not. I've gotten a lot of use out of the Surge's GPS and it was a feature that made me want that tracker in the first place. Watching some review videos on the Blaze it will keep track of gps data b/c it Bluetooths to your smartphone (Apple/Android). I always carry my phone, so this is not a problem. My concern though is data. Will using using my phone to add gps data to my Blaze suck my phone's data plan? Thanks

It's great to see you around @nola_rob. About the inquiry you have about the Blaze GPS, I found This Thread where @Rich_Laue and other user are explaining this.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. ![]()
