Is it best to turn my gps tracking off if I do not carry my phone with me?

Your Blaze doesn't have built-in GPS, it uses the GPS on your phone. The only time you can use the phone's GPS is through tracking certain activities which won't work if you don't have your phone with you. Basically, there's nothing to turn off.

I understand that but since I don't always have my phone on me its not moving obviously so it's staying put but I am moving. So with that being said the gps would say I am in one spot even though I'm moving. That's why I am asking if it would be best to turn the gps connect

If your phone is not near your Blaze then it can't connect to give you an option to use GPS. So it's not a case of turning something off, it's just that can't use the GPS options.
