Blaze Issues & Suggestions

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently switched to the Blaze from the Charge HR, so far it's been an enjoyable switch, definitely more robust of a device. I went through 5 Charge HRs in about a year, just kept breaking while playing Ultimate.

For the exercise tracking, I'm forced to do a generic workout as Ultimate or other sports aren't available. There is no way to see how many steps you've had in the generic workout...which is annoying, it should be there!

While in exercise tracking, for the first time while wearing the Blaze, I wore a long sleeve shirt while playing, and it was a disaster. The wet sleeve apparently is capable of "pushing" the pause/play button of the activity, and even finished it during the game, had to roll my left sleeve to stop it from "pushing" the touchscreen buttons. Can Fitbit please design an option to disable the touchscreen buttons in lieu of using the press buttons during exercise tracking?

The watchface selection is pretty awful for such a sophisticated watch, why hasn't the API been opened and allow people to design some?

When you hit step goal or silent alarm, the screen doesn't illuminate automatically (I have quick view disabled and always will, thing would wake me up at night).

I have something stuck between the glass and plastic edge of the Blaze unit, is there a recommended method to clean the very thin gap?

Thanks!

Hi  there @ClemsonEE. Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share all these suggestions with us.

When it comes to exercise tracking, you can either do a generico workout that you can later on re categorize to any specific exercise or you can also choose from one of the exercises that the tracker comes with. Once you start any exercise on your Blaze, you will be able to see steps, distance, calories burned, heart rate and the time (depending on the stats that the exercise will give you) by tapping on the display it will toggle through them all.

Now, for the inconvenient of the screen reacting to things touching the screen and messing up your workout because it gets paused or similar situations, there is already a feature request for this to be implemented which you can vote for by clicking here.

For the ability of creating more watch faces, I'm not sure if the API is open publicly for that. You can  take a look at the API board to find out more about this and there is also a feature request for having more watch faces implemented. You can see the request here. Feel free to also add your vote and comments there.

For the Alarms and when you hit your goal to illuminate the tracker when you reach your goal, there is no feature request that I could find. Feel free to create a new one in the Feature Request board.

For cleaning anything stuck between the glass and the edge of the tracker, you can use a cotton swab that will perfectly fit in and help you remove anything that shouldn't be there.

Hope all this helps and if you need anything else, let me know. I'll be glad to help!
