Music Control gets a facelift with Blaze! Learn more about your power to control music below. For a more detailed look at Music Control on your Blaze, please see this help article.

Music Control:

With Blaze, you can control your music with the touch of a button! To access Music Control, simply swipe downward on your home screen. Improvements to this feature include a Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) connection for iOS instead of BT Classic. We've also added the ability to rewind and increase/decrease the volume of the song, in addition to fast forwarding and play/pause.

Notes

  • Android and Windows phones will still use BT Classic for using Music Control.
  • While in exercise mode, press/hold Blaze's top-right button for 2 seconds to bring Music Control up.
  • You'll use both buttons on the right to control volume on Blaze. See image to the right.
  • As with most other Bluetooth devices, if you connect another Bluetooth device and disconnect your Blaze, you will have to connect it again the next time you want to use it to control music.

No matter what you're rocking out to, we're sure you'll love using Music Control on Blaze!

I have the exact same problem with my Moto X pure edition. Did you ever get it to work for you? If so, what did you do?

I'm having the same issue, same phone as you. Hoping they find a fix soon, this is super fustrating! I go tthis for my birthday, got everything set up. The passcode came up and then said it was incorrect.

Accept the pass code on the Blaze first, then accept on the phone.

The passcode never came up on the blaze, it came up once on my phone and when I accepted it, it then said failed to connect.

Just to clarify, you're connecting the Blaze Classic, not the Blaze?

Maybe a restart of the Blaze would help..

Without the Blaze displaying a code, and accepting it in the Blaze, the pairing would be rejected.

Yes, blaze classic comes up and I got the passcode to show up once on my phone only, then it came up saying it failed to connect. I've cleared the data and cashe in the phone, restarted the phone and blaze and tried again to pair them. Still nothing. No matter what I try I cannot get the blaze to show a passode or accept the one on the phone.

I would really like the last screen I've used to be the one to pop up after my Blaze has timed out and gone dark. When I'm running, I HATE having to feel for the right button to push for the music screen to come back up again so I can fast forward a song.  If I've last looked at my music screen ... let that one be the one that pops back up when I lift my arm.  If I last looked at my stats screen, let that be the screen that pops back up.

Hi just want to say I would like a UI tweak, can the notifications on off move one more screen up and then make the track buttons larger. Easier to tap on while your exercising.

A bit of a gimmick this music control. Wish there was a way to remove the feature fully.

Not something I will ever use and absolutely as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, in regards to cycling activities.

Would much prefer a better GPS connection, bond with the handset than this music control feature.

Phone loses connection with watch when phone is in cycling tops rear pocket, from right rear side to front left wrist on handlebars.

Not overly impressed at the poor connection distance.

The music screen stays out of the way and only is activated intentionaly, it doesn't bother me.
As for the BY connection @Bonzo9 I'm not sure what is happen bing BROKE has a much better bonding then standard BT. I find I get my messages up to 30 + feet away from the phone. In the app is always connected checked?

@blanchettej4 I suggest restarting your phone, also the Blaze and trying out the setup process here again.

@KarenBOB @DeepBlueSky I recommend creating that as an idea within our Feature Request board and making sure to vote for it. The more votes, the more likely it is to be considered for implementation.

@marie67 Sorry, not sure what you're saying you too to. Can you please clarify your experience?

@Bonzo9 Thanks for your feedback! You can keep the music control feature turned OFF and not use it.

When playing music on my LG Stylio using Spotify, I have the "connecting"/"Loading Music" issue as well. It will show my music and all of the controls work, but even out of my pocket and right next to my wrist, it still cycles through my music and those two messages every 3 seconds. Doesn't make the feature unusable, but is certainly inconvient when I go to press a button and it's "Loading" all the time. I tried it with the fitbit app open in the background and not and same result.

Everytime I try to pair my Blaze with my Droid Turbo 2 I keep getting this error message on my phone.

"Couldn't pair with Blaze (Classic) because of an incorrect PIN or passkey"

Please help. I do not remember the PIN from my initial set up....

Thank you.

Hi there! I have the same problem as AlexSc did but when I try your recommended solution it doesn't show me the number or the option to select pair. When I go to bleutooth i see 'Blaze' and 'Blaze (classic)'. I tried to connect to blaze classic about a million times but the number never show up and it gives me the error that I do not have the wright entry code or password. My phone is a Oneplus 2 and My fitbit's bleutooth is on pair.

Please help!

Welcome to the Community @BREWSKl and @Soulsyphon@Giggs11@Rich_Laue and @Lamborkrini it's great to see you around. If you are experiencing problems with your music control feature, I mentioned in previous posts, I recommend restarting your Blaze and try the troubleshoot provided in our I'm having trouble controlling music with my tracker article.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy
