My blaze has been doing this for a week now. 21000 steps is not equal to 1.18 miles. Manually entering and correcting is not an option. It worked just fine before the last update. Is Fit Bit working on a fix for this?

@Mczech I hope you're doing well! I moved your post to the Blaze Board as there are more chances for you to receive an answer to your inquiry here.
Is this happening every time or did it happened just once?
I recommend checking your stride length. Make sure to manually calculate it and then adjust it. The more accurate your stride length is, the more accurate distance you will get. Fitbit will calculate your stride length automatically, but it is always better to try your personalized one.
Also, try performing a restart on your Blaze. Since this happened since the last update, that restart process should help you out as well!
Try that out and let me know how it goes!

I have only had it for 2 weeks. It worked perfectly the first 4 days. Then an update ran and has not worked since. I have been all over reading these posts and have done every fix /trouble shooter . Still not right. Just want it fixed.

Steps to distance calculation is always wrong for me for days after an update. My stride length hasn't changed (yes it is set correctly).
Don't mind terribly much though.

@Mczech Thanks for your patience and working through these troubleshoots! Keep an eye on your inbox for next steps.
@jmattwood I hope you're doing well! Please perform a restart on your Blaze. If the issue persists; please provide me with a screen shot showing the wrong data you are seeing so I can investigate further.
Keep me posted!

@SantiR it's fairly simple - immediately after every update, I can walk, say, 4km on the treadmill and the Blaze records almost 5km. For the same number of steps recorded prior to the update, the Blaze accurately estimated the distance as 4km & approx speed correctly. It usually seems to settle down after a week or two.

This makes no sense. So you are telling me that it is going to just randomly decide when its going to work? This is unacceptable 😞

@jmattwood Thanks for your reply! How are you tracking the treadmill activity?
@Mczech I opened a ticket with customer support for you as you already tried all the options I was able to provide here on the Fitbit Community. They will follow up with you from now on.
Let me know the outcome!

@Adkins47 Thanks for joining the Fitbit family! Are you seeing more distance or less distance than it should recorded?
Feel free to try the restart process. This has helped users in the past. Also, adjust your stride length. This is the best way to get better distance recordings!
Keep me posted!

Thank you for trying to help. I have restarted and adjusted my stride more than once. The main issue I have ( and there are others) is it does not start recording my steps until I have walked at least 10-15 steps. No, it does not catch up once it does start counting. When I stop for even a second it will stop counting and once I resume it does not start counting again for 10-15 steps, this happens everytime I stop walking. The 4 months I have had the Blaze I have only reached 10,000 steps 3 times! I have owned other Fitbit devices, that is one of the reasons why I was excited to purchase the Blaze. With my current experience with the Blaze, it will be my last Fitbit purchase and I no longer recommend the Fitbit Blaze to people that ask me how I like it.

How is that for accuracy?

@MczechI realise this is frustrating.. Have you entered a manual walk activity, if so, does that still provide the same very low distance. How many steps did it show ?
If you haven't, just create a 10 minute walk for 1 mile and see what the result is.. If that is low again it is nothing to do with the tracker it's the stride or the mathematics. I get 2100 steps for a mile.
Let's know how that goes..

@Adkins47 Thanks for your reply and for trying those troubleshooting steps.
I need you to try just one more thing before we move on... I need you to try to set up your Blaze as a new device. This has helped other users in the past!
@Mczech Hello again! I hope you're doing well. I'm aware of the inaccuracies you are seeing on the Fitbit app. However, I opened a ticket with customer support for them to help you out as we already did everything we could here on the Fitbit Community.
Can you tell me, how is that going? What options did they give? Please update me!
Also, have you tried what @Colinm39 suggested on his post above?
Keep me posted!

I am having the exact same problem. I have owned my Blaze for several years now and only recently has it started acting up.
