Music Control:
With Blaze, you can control your music with the touch of a button! To access Music Control, simply swipe downward on your home screen. Improvements to this feature include a Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) connection for iOS instead of BT Classic. We've also added the ability to rewind and increase/decrease the volume of the song, in addition to fast forwarding and play/pause.

Is there a way to completely disable this function, connected to IOS? It works too well and my phone will start blaring a podcast at inappropriate times when the buttons or the face is hit inadvertantly (like if I wipe the screen to clean it). Once it happened in a meeting at work of 100 people (so embarassing) and has happened in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep. I don't use the function, please let me disable it.

I too had this problem same phone. I went into android settings, selected APPS, then found the fitbit app, clicked/touched "Storage" cleared the cache, and cleared the data. Then rebooted both device and phone, Then tried to re-pair classic BT and it worked. You then need to open FitBit app and log back in, all my data for the day, week etc is intact. The alarms, and other seetings also seemed to be intact. Just remember you need to start the music first on your phone then you can control from band.
Hope that works, I tried install, uninstall and so much other BS and none of it worked.

When this happens to me, I go to the phones BT screen, tell the phone to unpair the Blaze Classic, then pair them up.

Our problem was a bit different, we were never able to accomplish the initial classic BT pair as the PIN numbers never displayed on either the phone or the Blaze, and an error message "unable to pair pins dont match".

When I finally was able to pair, it took a several tries, to the point where I gave up a couple days, then tried again with clearing the phone cache and data in the fitbit app. It was very frustrating and I almost returned it.
I also remember it toook almost a full minute for the phone and device to negotaite a new pairing number, to the point where I thought it was stuck. I saw someone else pair the band to anyother BT device to see if it would pair with that device, a computer, or ipad etc. I know the classic BT is very tempermental. I spent a least a couple hours being frustrated. Good luck. I am on android 6, dont know if that matters. I also know that fitbit needs to be in phone memory not installed on SD card. So check to see if the app by chance installed by default to your SD card if you have one.

I would like to leave some feedback about the music control feature, first of all i am using this watch(fitbit blaze) with a samsung galaxy s6, and they communicate perfectly! the music control option is great, it works nicely and makes it so much easier to change music while running. that being said, i find it very tedious that when you try to use any of the exercise features, you are no longer able to control your music. i find this very bothersome because i want to use the exercise features so i can see how many calories i am buring for specific workouts, but i am almost to the point where i dont even want to use the exercise features because of this issue, i know it is a very small issue but if there is some way to have an update to allow users to change music while using the exercise feature that would be awesome!

i did a little more digging and actually found out how to do so. while in your exercise mode, press and hold the top right button and your music options will pop up!

as far as the bluetooth issues, i ran into this the other day and found a fix. I totally forgot the steps though, it was something to do with the connection order, you either need to connect your headset first, then reconnect your watch, or vise versa.
