I have the S4 as well. Doing the same thing.. Just got the Blaze yesterday, happy to see somebody else have this problem... well, not happy really. My car can display text messages from my phone, I hope the Blaze will be able too.

Denise, Which upgrade did you get to make it work? I checked for new software updates on my phone and it says I am up to date and no new upgrades available but I am still not able to read my text messages on my Blaze while using the Verizon Message+.
I have a Samsung Note4 with Verizon

I don't know if this applies to the Note, but in my S4, I had to go into my messages, click menu, settings, go into notifications, and then check on the Preview Message check box. Good luck!

@KCBriggs by not being able to read messages, in not sure if your saying nothing shows up, or of it is just a notifacation that you have messages.
Go to the phones settings, then Sounds and Notifacations. Now Scroll down and say Yes to show on lock screen.

Mine works now with Message+ from Verizon, you have to choose it in the
setting on the phone app but it works great now after the upgrade!
That's great that it works for you. I occasionally will try to get it to work (after an update on any of the related apps), but it never does. I always end up going back to Messenger, which continues to work as it should.

@lannhoyt Not functioning, as in, not getting them at all? Are you using your phone's default message app?

@lannhoyt interesting I'm glad ir worked, not knowing what type of phone, my answer was assuming an Android.
The only thing i could have added for you was to check the notifacation center.
Yes many of tye fixes are simaler between the phones.

I have galaxy s5, use messages not messages+ and have the same problem. I can read the text if I only have 1 message but if I get another I cannot read message, only notification.

@alynne84 Yes this is the way android Messages work.. You'll be able to read the body as long as there are no other unread messages
This is not fitbits doing but Android's.
