Blaze added steps at night while on charge

Took my blaze off and put it on charge at 10. When I woke up it had 23000steps so it gained 10000 steps

Where these steps from last night, or where they carried over from yesterday.  IE: what could happen if traveling across timezones.

I thought that at first. But it added 10000 new steps during the night. I ended my day at 13000 steps and took the fitbit off till morning.
