If someone is calling me (to my cell phone number) from his/her Skype, do I have to enable in my Fitbit Blaze App notification call "Dialer" or "Skype"?

If they are calling your phone number set it to the dialer app. If the call comes to your skype account set it as skype.

Great to see you around @aisa and @MattG92 thanks for stopping by! So far I know, you can only receive notifications from normal calls not from skype. I recommend checking the More Notifications request, vote for it and leave your comment.
Catch you later.

@AlejandraFitbit that makes no sense. When the phone rings on my mobile, it doesn't matter if the call is coming from landline, cellphone, Skype, or any other VoIP service. Its a phone call and @aisa clarified it is not Skype-to-Skype.

Actually it does make sence in that fitbit like other apps that monitor notifacations, fitbit monitors the app not the notifacation center

No it doesn't, a call coming into the Dialer app is a call. It doesn't matter how the call originates into the telephone network, all that matters is that your mobile phone is receiving a call. This is the flow:
- someone initiates a call (landline, mobile, Skype, VoIP)
- the call enters the telephone network
- call is routed within telephone network to your mobile
- your phone's "Dialer" app receives the call

My skyped dialer app receives Skype calls? My phones dialer/contact app receives cellular calls. I am unable to initiate a Skype call from my phones dialer app.
As you say if the call enters the phone network then it will be received as a phone call. Now if you have Skype, and someone else makes a Skype call to you, we now have a Skype to Skype call that uses VOIP and never enters the phone system.

@Rich_Laue you are confused, see above statements. Someone is calling aisa's cellular phone.
I use Skype to call landlines and mobiles phones. Its exactly what I said earlier, when using Skype-to-mobile, your phone's "Dialer" app receives the call.
That is exactly what aisa is asking about. This has nothing to do with Skype-to-Skype calls.

@bbarrera i was responding to your post about @AlejandraFitbit's post that if you receive a Skype call through the Skype app the blaze does not have this option.
If someone calls you landline or cell phone from a Skype number and it enters the standard phone system, as for as your phone is con earned it is a standard phone call.
But if someone on Skype or a home phone calls your Skype number, you will receive this through your Skype App and there is no setting to let this go to the blaze.

@Rich_Laue You are hopelessly confused. I never said anything about Skype-to-Skype. Please reread.

Actually I'm not at all confused @bbarrera i was explaining where @AlejandraFitbit was coming from, and you have failed to see the flow of the conversation. The fact the @aisa who clearly asks if it should be set for the cellular or Skype means that they have Skype running.
@MattG92 responded with if the call comes in to cellular then set it for cellular, question has been answered, then @MattG92 went on to say, if the call comes in through Skype then set it for skype.
This second part is wrong and @AlejandraFitbit was correcting @MattG92, not addressing @aisa at all.
You keep bringing up @aisa's post that was answered by @MattG92, when @AlejandraFitbit is addressing @MattG92's post.
The flow of the first three posts went over the head.
Mike was not reffering to how a call was made, but how it was receoved

Great to see you around @bbarrera and @Rich_Laue thanks for the explanation. As mentioned, the Blaze only receives notifications from normal calls, I mean phone to phone calls from the contacts you have on your phone. I know it would be great to receive. You can check the attached image and will notice that the only option you have is to receive calls from your contacts.
As suggested, check the More Notifications request, vote for it and leave your comment.
Happy stepping!

@AlejandraFitbit I'm going disagree, as @bbarrera pointed out Skype has the ability to transfer a Skype originated VOIP call to the standard phone system. In this case the cell phone will receive the call as if it had come from another phone,it now behaves as standard phone call the caller motiacation to the blaze will work.
In fact the receiver of the call gets no notifacation that Skype was ever involved.
