I have set all the auto-recognized to Ignore for that very reason. I did a 5k Bubble Run and walked the whole thing. The Blaze auto tracked the first part as a walk, then outdoor bike and then walk again.
The problem with auto-recognized activities is they don't record distance and the outdoor bike doesn't record steps. I was able to rename the outdoor bike to walk in the web Dashboard to get my steps, but still no distance.
IMO, the auto-recognized activities are poorly implemented.

Hello @Ehemp welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 You can add a manual log for the duration of the activity to get more accurate result. All steps, calories, and active minutes recorded by your tracker are overridden for the duration of a manually logged activity by the activity's entered values. This ensures that your steps are not counted twice as long as the manually logged activity has the correct start time and duration You can read more about this here. @AZPete thanks for your cooperation! 🙂
I'll be around if you have any questions! 🙂

The Blaze also has the ability eight on it to manually start up to 7 different exercises. These 7 can be picked from a list of 18 exercises.
Personally i find that it is amazing that the Fitbit is able to detect as many and as well as it does. It also helps if the unused exercises types are tyrned off in auto detect.
