Blaze battery issues

For the past couple of weeks my Fitbit Blaze has been on the fritz. First it was having trouble holding a charge or even charging at all. Then for the past couple of days it would turn on only when it apparently was good and ready. So finally this evening after the charge ran down I inserted said headache into my charging dock only to find myself unable to turn it on no matter what combination it buttons I press and hold, nor cleaning of contact points with alcohol and q-tips.

Alas l, during my cleaning I observed what appeared to be water in one of my devices sensor ports? (I will be adding photos to my Facebook@ Genoveva Soto-Jones) I am assuming at this point that my particular device wasn’t as waterproof as advertised? I am not looking forward to the doldrums I expect to face with Fitbit's support staff. Maybe I will get an honest and sincere response but in today’s business culture I doubt it. Probably a lot of avoidance and white noise until hopefully I go away. Problem is I will be going away to either Samsung or Maybe an Apple product to go with my new

I-phone X. Please Fitbit or Fitbit community provide me with a bit of advice as to what I should do? Just move on or try and figure this out?

Hi @EvaSotoJ, welcome on board. Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Blaze behavior, as well for trying to charge it and cleaning the contacts.

Let me share that your Blaze is a water resistant device, rather than waterproof. Meaning that it's rain-proof and splash-proof, and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. I've gone ahead and informed your concern to our Support Team, and they'll be contact you via email. Please keep an eye to your inbox.
