Blaze, data is not correct

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just purchased a Blaze and have been using for basic data. Sleep, steps, calories. None of the data is correct. I can be sitting and watch calories being burned. Sleep is off by hours. Steps not even close. What am I doing wrong.

Let's see @Runfunrun

Your fitbit calculates the calories you burn, including the calories needed to keep the body on this side of the grave. This is called the BMR.

Sleep, I'm not sure what your expecting, the auto sleep is unable to detect when you get in or out of bed.. It is fairly accurate in determining when a body is asleep. Make sure your sleep is set for normal, sensitive will say your awake with every movement.

Please see this post on step accuracy

As for steps you don't mention if it reads under or over. Setting it to dominant will make it less send stove and ignore more, non-dominant makes it count more.. Reminder the Blaze is mounted on the arm, and therefore only able to monitor arm movements.. It looks for arm movements that look like the feet are moving. Pushing a cart may miss some steps counted.

Hi there @Runfunrun. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

When it comes to the sleep tracking, could it be that you're moving a lot from the time you get in bed and the next hours after that? Maybe that's the reason why it's showing you're going to bed until that time. I would recommend just to see if it makes any difference, to restart your tracker. For that, press and hold the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds and try it out the night after and see if this makes any difference.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help with this!
