For the past three nights I have walked on my treadmill for 2, 2.18, and 2.3 miles. I did this in around 30 minutes each time. When I check my tracker it only says I did about 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9 miles each time.
When I go to the website and enter my exercise time and the actual distance I walked the site calculates my steps and gives me a lot more steps then what I took. Today for example it gave me almost 3,500 additional steps.
The interesting thing is that when I manually enter in my exercise for the exact same starting time and length of exercise I loose the calorie count data, but keep my heart rate data. How can I get my Blaze to update the stride count for exercising (walking) to either accurate track the miles or when I enter miles not adjust the steps?
Thanks,

A warm welcome to the Forums @Dalthalion.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Have you tried to see if your stride length information is correct? If you haven't, I recommend taking a look at this post and update that data. Also, I suggest registering your activity by selecting them directly from the Blaze.
Let me know the outcome.

Alejandra,
I have the FitBit app set to calculate my stride automatically. My stride length is different when I am walking around the house vs when I am exercising. When I do exercise I am tracking it by registering my activity on the Blaze that is the fundamental problem.
When I start my treadmill walk I go to exercise and start tracking. When I finish I stop the app. Today I walked for 30 minutes and 4 seconds. My Blaze said I walked for 1.56 miles, but the treadmill said I walked for 2.06 miles. I would understand if I was off by a tenth of a mile, but this is a large difference. I went into the Fitbit site and I deleted the entry from my Blaze and I entered the data from the Treadmill and Fitbit increased my Step Count by around 1500 to match the amount of miles.
What I want to know is why doesn't Fitbit adjust my stride based on the actual number of steps I took during the 30 minutes and 4 seconds I was on the treadmill. Also, why are my steps not static? If the Fitbit is measuring my steps (not just estimating) then why when I say I walked for 2.06 miles from 20:46 to 21:14 does it give me 1500i+ more steps.
What Fitbit appears to be doing is: Distance / Stride = Steps
What I think Fitbit should be doing is: Distance / Steps = Stride

Alejandra,
I took screenshots to better demonstrate what I am talking about.
This is the record that FitBit created by me tracking the exercise on my Blaze while on the treadmill today. It says I walked 1.75 miles on the treadmill today. The treadmill said I wanted 2.06 miles
So after my walk I deleted the record created by the Blaze and I manually entered the exact same data except this time I put the miles at 2.06. You can see that for the exact same period of time the FitBit increased my step count (and my total daily count) by 471 steps.
My question is this? As I understand it my Blaze is counting the exact number of steps I took. For the 30 minutes I was exercising it knows exactly how many steps I took. Why does it increase the step count when I manually enter an exercise?
Thanks
