I just order a new Fitbit and it came in the mail today. Upon activating the device I noticed my device's battery needed a charge. This was strange because I had immediately placed the device on the charger upon arrival. Needless to say I went to charge the devise again but there was no indicator on the Fitbit screen the device was charging.
I went to use several outlets in my home and several usb outlet ports but still no indicator. I finally plugged the device into my laptop in which I could hear the charge was working but still no indicator light. I allowed the device to charge an hour and attempted to turn it on whiling holding the left button for 10 seconds. The device would turn on.
I just purchased this Fitbit. I was looking forward to wearing it for an upcoming trip and purposely requesting 2 day shipping. Now it appears the device is defected and I will need to return before my trip. Very disappointed in this device I waited years before finally deciding to purchase.
Has anyone else had this experience? is there something that can be done without me needing to return the device? Maybe there is some trick I do not know about.

A warm welcome to the Community @nicmfb.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Have you tried to restart your device? If you haven't, I recommend restarting your Blaze by doing the following:
- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
- Let go of the buttons.
Let me know how it goes.
