Blaze duplicating notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Blaze for close to a year (paired with my iPhone 6s), and I've had no problems until last night. I was woken up just after midnight with my Blaze continually giving me a notification about a text I received many hours before.  I could not get it to stop, so I took it off and tried to go back to sleep.  What is strange, is I had my iPhone's "Do Not disturb" turned on, and it certainly ignored that and fully disturbed me!

This morning, I was able to clear notifications from my Blaze, but on the drive to work, it started repeatedly notifying my that I was "All caught up!  No notifications".  It did this probably 10-20 times over 5 minutes, and then just stopped. What is going on?

I'm running iOS 11.4.1 with Fitbit 2.80 (794).   I do believe I updated the Fitbit app yesterday or the day before, so perhaps this new problem is tied to this latest ios app update.  IDK.

Thanks for any help!

-Will

A warm welcome to the Community @WillGtx.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Have you tried to restart your tracker? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

I have not tried restarting it until you mentioned it, but I can’t get it
to restart. You say I should hold the left button and the right bottom
button for 10sec? I’ve held all 3 combinations of 2 buttons for 20sec and
it doesn’t restart. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.

Thanks for the update @WillGtx.

To restart your tracker, you need to press the home button and the lower left button your tracker at the same time until you feel a buzz and see the Fitbit logo.

My blaze looks like this:
https://www.fitbit.com/content/assets/blaze-101/images/03B_Navigation.gif

It has a centered button on the left, and two buttons on the right side;
it doesn't have a "lower left" button as you said in your message.

If I ignore trying to restert it, the left button seems to go "back" in the
menu system, but the right buttons don't appear to do anything. I
typically just use the touch screen, so I'm not sure what the physical
buttons do. Regardless, as I mentioned, I held the left and the lower
right buttons down for 20sec, and the fitbit icon never appeared, nor did
it restart. I also tried holding other physical button combinations for
20sec, and they didn't restart it either.

Do I need to use the touchscreen "buttons" to restart it? Are my physical
right-side buttons not working? Can I restart it from my iphone app?

Thanks for your thoughts.
