Hi, I have been evaluating my new 'Fitbit Blaze' unit for the last 10-days since it's delivery and I am almost tempted to return it back, since it appears to have multiple issues. I have just 5 more days before I can actually return it back (to Amazon.in) hence, I would appreciate if someone would go through below list and advice if there's any hope of getting a better device/unit as replacement.
Unit Details:
Device: Fitbit Blaze
Style: Black/Gunmetal
Size: L/G (Large)
Delivery-Date: 2017-10-11 (Day-1)
Vendor: Amazon.in (Cloudtail India Private Limited)
Short-Story: Overall Issues
A. Highly unresponsive to tap, and stuck in half-transitions in some cases.
B. Unstable firmware, auto-crashed & reset to older-build in between, not sure if it'll stabilize anytime.
C. Max 3.5 days battery-life (doesn't even last till the end of Day-4, gives up by evening) with most features disabled (just Auto-HR tracker enabled, no quick-view, No GPS, No Always-Connected, etc)
Long-Story: Last 10-days observations -
1. Day 2: (Was away on Day 1, started on Day 2) Unboxed device & paired up with Phone, but it couldn't show its Clock-face. App reported a firmware update requirement. Tried that, but app reported low battery. Put it in charging case, but it got couldn't boot up, got stuck in showing Fitbit Logo continuously (I was expecting the charging indicator, but it never reached that stage so I couldn't even make out how much it is-in/needs charge). Tried to update firmware multiple times while it was charging (half hour, & 1 hour later; by when it should have left the low-battery-state), but App couldn't still detect it's battery level & kept reporting that it is low on charge. I searched Fitbit community, & hard reset the device twice. Still the same cycle all over. I gave up.
2. Day 3: I had put it on overnight charging & tried again the next day. This time it magically detected a full charge & updated firmware. Finally it booted up. Now it could show the clock face & other screens. I was happy. Configured all settings (Disabled Quick View, Disabled a 'Connected GPS' setting I saw there on the watch, which I have never seen since, again. No push notificaitons, no always on connection just plain tracker + Auto HR mode). But it is very low on responsiveness to a tap. From then, I always fail to get the screen lit when I tap the first time & always have to tap harder/multiple times to get it lit. Even when lit & it shows the clock face, I need to tap harder to cycle through various stats on the clock-face.
3. Day 6: It was just the 4th day (after last full charge) & the device started reporting low-battery from the afternoon. By evening, it's display had completely shutoff. I was alarmed by this dismal battery life & put it to charging. This time, it showed the charging indicator. A tap would show the clock-face while charging but I couldn't swipe further.
4. Day 7: After removing from Battery case & held in air, it responds to a swipe, but used to get stuck half way (I could see half clock face & half 'Today' sign). Further swipe used to clear it. That was strange. But once worn on the wrist, there were no half transitions it used to move fully. (I have also seen that tap behavior is different while in charging case vs while in air vs worn on wrist)
5. Day 9: Later in the night, when I tried to sync, it kept trying to Sync continuously .. for 20mins, but no success. I was tired & switched off bluetooth & slept. Got woken when it vibrated all of sudden, & I noticed the Fitbit Logo come up. It had restarted on it's own.
6. Day 10: Morning I tried to sync again, it reported a firmware update needed. That was strange, I had already updated firmware previously, and I checked the Fitbit website, there was no new release in these days. So basically, my device had auto reset to old firmware & again demanded a new one. Fine, I tried to do that, but it again reported low battery. Today was 4th day of operation (after last full charge), & it had lost most of it's charge in last 3 days. So I waited till evening & now have put it to charging. It has completed firmware update successfully now.
But overall, I'm lost faith in its reliability need help in deciding if this a defective piece or in general a defective design. (I have used Fitbit Charge HR for one full year in the past, and its battery would only start reporting low after 4.5 days & display would go off only by late night if not charged by then).
Anyways, it is 2017-10-21 today & I just have 5 more days before I can return this to Amazon - so I would appreciate a quick-response. Should I hope for a better replacement, or do I need to live with this?
Thanks in advance.

A warm welcome to the Community @makontrack, thanks for troubleshooting this issue by yourself.
I am glad to hear that you were able to paired your tracker. Now about the issues that you are experiencing. About the resetting itself and the stuck problems, I recommend restarting your tracker a couple of times and test it, since actually there was an update released, for more information about it you can click here. Now, about the battery you can take a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there.
I hope this helps, catch you later.

Hi Alejandra,
Thanks for your response & all the links.
Although I read through those few days back - I didn't do anything about it yet; was waiting to see if I find more issues. But fortunately, last 4 days of operation have been going smooth - and today being the 4th day, its battery-life is still being reported as Medium - so I'm hoping it will last till end of tomorrow.
Probably the firmware update you mentioned, straightened it out - I think. I deciding to keep this unit for now. Thanks for giving more info anyways (I didn't know about 'Live Data' option before - looks good).
