My Blaze has not been working correctly. The steps don't count correctly and the heart rate monitor is off. When I walk I get about 1500-3000 steps less on blaze then on Google Fit which I have resorted back to using. I have the apps side by side on my phone and they never match up anymore. The fit app usually matches the rest of the group I walk with steps on their different devices but the Fitbit is always off.
The heart rate monitor is the same way. It is tracking we at 178 when I am laying on the couch watching TV even when I don't have it on it's just laying on the coffee table it's dislaying 180 or some crazy number.
I have reset/reboot/shutdown several times. This is my second one I returned one before because it would not stay charged so I have to turn all they settings off just to keep a decent charge. I called customer support before and the guy told me to call back when I had let it drain down and charge back up and drain down again. Who has time for that? I think I need to return this now.

Hi @Mecol. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry to hear that your steps and heart rate are not being recorded correctly 😕 Thanks a lot for troubleshooting this yourself before though!
When it comes to your steps not being counted properly, since you've already tried restarting your tracker, I can recommend making a step accuracy test just to see how it goes. For this, see the number of steps you have on your tracker. Walk 100 steps and count them in your head. Stop, count the new steps and compare. A difference of 5-7 steps more or less should be acceptable. Now, keep in mind that since your Blaze is a tracker that you wear on your wrist, you need to make sure to swing your arm as you would normally do when walking. This way, you will ensure that every step will be recorded. You can see that when you push a cart for example and you don't swing your hand while walking, this will lower the amount of steps recorded, so this is something to consider.
Now, when it comes to the heart rate. I saw someone once who was concerned about the inaccuracy of their tracker and found out with his physician that there was something going on that caused the heart rate to increase when not being very active, so even though when your Fitbit tracker is not a medical device and should not be used to diagnose any condition, it is an indicative of your health and in this case, your heart health.
Also, keep in mind that your heart rate may be affected by any a number of factors at any given moment. Movement, temperature, humidity, stress level, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication use are just a few things that can affect your heart rate. Different medical conditions and medications can impact your heart rate.
Let me know if there's any difference after taking into consideration the above. Anything else, I'm here to help!
