Blaze, not able to complete set up

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just got my new Blaze, will not come out of setup. It shows up on the dashboard in the win 10 app. Tried no less then 50 times to run the update, no success. My cell phone is a blackberry Z10 and there is no compatible app so I am forced to use windows 10. All out of answers, this should be simple.

Your Blaze needs to be setup, how far have you been able to get?
Was the tracker found?
Did the tracker get a 4 digit code?
Did the app accept the code?
Has the firmware started, if you still see the setup message than no it hasn't.
Restart the Blaze by holding the left and lower right buttons in.
Restart the computer.
Are you using BT to set the tracker up?
Try using the charging cable, put the Blaze in it, attach to your Win 10 computer, make sure it shows the battery level and try again.

Try your phone, simply log into the app and it should prompt to continue.

Welcome to the Community @firemanrids and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

I would like to know if  you were able to paired your tracker? If it stills unpaired, please confirm you are doing the following from your Windows 10 device. Since your phone is not compatible, you can set up and sync your tracker on your Windows 10 PC using the same Fitbit app available for Windows mobile devices.

To get the app, click the Start button and open the Windows Store. Search for “Fitbit app.” Note that if you’ve never downloaded an app from the store to your computer, you’ll be prompted to create an account.

Open the app and follow the instructions to create a Fitbit account and set up your tracker. You can set up and sync wirelessly if your computer has Bluetooth. If your computer doesn't have Bluetooth or the Bluetooth signal is weak or problematic:

  • Plug the wireless sync dongle that came with your tracker into a USB port on your computer. Fitbit Surge requires that the dongle is plugged in.
  • If you have a Fitbit Blaze, put the tracker into the charging cradle and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

From my desktop PC, I used the charging cable to connect and recieved the the 4 digit code which it accepted.

The screen on the Blaze went straight back to fitbit.com/setup. I logged into my account and the Blaze shows up there as connected and requires an update, I tried no less than 50 times to update which it will not do. I have now switched to my laptop which is bluetooth enabled, paired the Blaze and it shows it is connected. Still the Blaze shows fitbit.com/setup. Setup the windows 10 app from the windows store, logged in, the Blaze shows requiring an update, still won't update. I must say this is very frustrating. At a loss.

I have added the Blaze "again" as a new device though the fitbit app, I recieved the 4 digit code from the fitbit so I know that it is communicating, but it will not update and it is still stuck at fibit.com/setup.

Below are my previous attempts, so with the new device setup I am still not making any headway.

Try and do the setup again, this time choice the option to replace your current tracker.
You might also want to press bother the left and to he buttons, this will do a restart of the tracker
