Don't waste anymore time...take it back and get a Garmin or Misfit. We have tried two different Blaze and the same thing. **ahem**
And...the creepy "stock" comment we keep getting from that woman at Fitbit...whatta joke! She doesn't read what we're writing...doesn't care...or they KNOW there are problems and can't/won't recall.
Proper marketing would result in personally reaching out to the thousands of consumers with this issue...

Seriously? You think that we don't know how to do that?

I had same issue. I was not seeing battery icon, but I was seeing www.fitbit.com/setup. I downloaded fitbit app on my Android and was prompted to pair my phone to fitbit. Once that was done I could see the battery charge indicator on the face of fitbit.

your advice. Taking it back...
I've also investigated this further (I am a journalist) and many, many
people said they had the issue of not being able to charge after time has
passed and it can't be taken back.
So...it's going back and I'm getting a Garmin. A little more expensive but
rave reviews.

For what its worth, I tried all of the above suggestions and nothing would work. I had all but given up and was going to put the Blaze away, never to been seen again.
I decided to give one more try, hard reset - nope didn't work, leaving it in the charger for several hours - nope didn't work. I was taking the Blaze out of the charger and when I turned it over the lighting hit the contact just right, and I could see a minor (oh so small) color change. It occured to me (maybe because I live in the deep south) that the contacts may have sometype of oxidation on them - similar to what you see on silver. After all the contacts do sit directly on your skin when wearing it.
I had a small piece of very fine steelwool available, and using a que tip gently rubbed the contacts - set the Blaze in the charger and vio'la I had contact. I am not saying this could solve every issue that I have read here, but it may be worth a try if you have tried everything else.

@damurray your post has many references to "not happening " without any mention oh what is not happening. Since this is your first post in this thread i had to look at your history and find that there is no report from you as ever having a problem, this has me confused.

I can relate to the charging problems that everyone seems to have had with their Blaze. I received my second replacement today after having the same issue with the first original that I got for Christmas. I tried everything except charging with a wall outlet. After charging it while I was asleep, it still told me in the app that it wasn’t charged. The step that let me finally do the setup was removing the device and them installing it again. It completed the update and was showing that it was fully charged. This would probably have worked on the first two, but I guess third times the charm. It is working great now.

After performing the shutdown option I had trouble turning on my Blaze. After attempting to charge it in the cradle (which also did not work) I pressed the left button for +10 seconds and I still could not get the Blaze to reset or turn on. As a last resort I pressed all three buttons simultaneously for +10 seconds and viola! the Blaze display lit up again with the Fitbit logo.

I agree, I am on my second Blaze in 1 month, replaced the first as it only charged the first time and would not charge again. I am having exactly the same issue with my second blaze. I will be returning it for a refund this time. Bye Blaze.

I cannot charge my new Blaze Fitbit. I have tried 3 workking, verified USB ports and a wall charger. i have spoken to support over 3 hours ago and my Blaze does not have enough battery to complete the set up dn update the firmware. Why doesn't Fitbit ship their product with enough battery to do the inital setup ? This is very frustrating. No solution idenitifed yet.

It's got massive issues.
And...when I read that for some people it works great for months and then
it won't charge...that was the last straw. Those poor people couldn't get a
refund!
I'm going to wait until something comes out that's small enough for my tiny
wrist and gives:
Heart rate
Steps
Calories (no necessary)
What the heck is wrong with these companies? They offer a device that can
practically transport you to the moon but can't give consumers simple
things like the above!

@Umwency did you not feel the vibration when you plugged it in?
That is how you know that it is charging.

I didn't think we were supposed to use a wall charger. I was told that's why they don't give you one.

Can you please help me? Got this as a present, but it won't charge. Because i live in South America, it makes it a little difficult to ship it back. So first i want to try everything possible.
When i unboxed it last night, i went to sleep trying to let it sync with my phone. When i woke up i saw a message on my phone stating that the fitbit's battery is empty)
I tried what you suggested. But can you advise how long this would normally take? it's been on the charges for 25 minutes and still nothing. ( read that i won't see the batterysign on the fitbit, because i didn't complete the setup yet.
Please help!!!!

I followed another users advice and removed the fitbit from my device (laptop) and then put it back on again. I then charged it overnight. I did see the battery charging on the fitbit.
After that - it was charged and synced perfectly.
