Blaze not charging

I just got my fitbit blaze today. took it out the box connected it to my phone going through the settings then it said it needed a software update so I tried to update it but says the battery is too low and to charge it. I got it on the charger it came with perfectly secure how it's supposed to be but it's not charging and the charge progress doesn't pop up just says fitbit.come/setup but won't charge and up date cause of the low battery

The fitbit won't display anything but the setup message until the setup is complete - including the charging indicator.

 

If you have tried charging it for an hour or so and it still complains about a low battery then perhaps try another USB power source such as the wall charger used for your phone.
