Blaze not holding a charge - I am not alone

I am having the same issue. My Blaze was working fine. It had run out of charge after 4 days, which I would expect. However, since I have fully charged it, now it keeps shutting down on me after an hour. I put it back in the charger for several hours again, it appeared to be fine, only I see it shuts down within an hour. Now when I place it back in the charger, it shows it is fully charged, I put in back on, and it shuts down again, within an hour. There was absolutely no indication of my Blaze starting to lose battery life. The more I view this forum, the more I wonder whether Fitbit placed a worm in their app where all the Blazes would start to fail around 6/30. Seems very odd that so many reports of battery failure are occurring at the same time.

Seriously.......

Please clean the contacts

Then Do a Restart

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

Mine is probably about 2-3 years old now, it runs out of charge in less than a day. Not cool, I wonder how long these batteries are rated to last? I would like to hope more than 3 years.

@xinnerzMine lasted 3 years. They do not last forever

I’ve had mine for 4 years now and I never had major issues with it until a few days ago. I charge it and then a few hours later it is dead. Tried every tip on the forums to try to fix the issue, but nothing works. Sure looks like planned obsolescence to me...

did not rush out and buy a new one (from Surge to Blaze) this time.  could not find source for battery
that would also install (Batteries Plus?)
wait a few days of aggrevation/frustration.   .   did not even clean this time (contacts once a month) andit's now at 95% and it's  almost noon (MT)  .... has been working fine for 3 days now. After 2+ days of problems.charge once a day AFTER exercise ... so 23 hours a day  (sleep)
Hopefully, it was  fluke with the software (or a conspiracy to drive us really mad)
Good luck.

Not an expert but I cleaned the connections with isopropyl alcohol on Fitbit And charger ... Every couple of months Is your charger cable original?  Check all your lines for short (Live in desert...high..very dry)Sounds like customer service.... troubleshooting(FYI..I'm just a 71 year old who tracks steps and sleep for obvious reasonsSince 2015.)Suggest contacting the company to see IF they respond.Sorry. My never totally went out that I remember.KamSent from Samsung tablet

I have been having trouble with mine holding a charge too.  It seems like I am charging it every other day and it takes hours to charge.

I see I'm not the only one .... around the 1st of July my Blaze stopped holding a charge and started shutting down.  I looked on it as an opportunity to throw that piece of junk into the back of the drawer and replace it with something better!  Something that actually counts steps correctly - which you would expect of a fitness tracker.

after issues with the Surge (2015 = first FITBIT), I gave up on Customer Service for most companies

(really)...they tell you to do basic trouble shooting.
As I said, you folks need to clean your contacts (those little things) on both ends AND try tore-boot ....instructions for that should be online (hold left and bottom right until it goes off - can't remember)wait a few minutes (10+) and turn back on.   it's worth a try
As I said, mine just went back to normal... charge it once a day anyway (ie.. I don't wear in shower)
I WAS getting lots of emails : your battery is too low just days before ....more than once a day.
Good luck
