I have done everything I can think of and searched on here and I cannot get messages or calls to my Blaze ... everything is paired and settings are checked for allowance ... tried impairing and repairing and nothing.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If your tracker isn't receiving notifications, I recommend taking a look at the My Tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android App) post and follow the instructions provided there.
Also, check that your Fitbit app update by following the steps in the How do I update the Fitbit app for Android? post.

I hace had this issue for about a week now too and just noticed an 'information' bubble in the app saying notifications will stop working automatically if your phone is on silent. Which is so annoying because that's one of the reasons I wanted the blaze so I could check my texts/calls and get reminders for my medication during the day when I'm not allowed to have my phone on anything except silent. At least this should be an option not forced on us.
