It has been my goal to get 14 hours of steps each day. My schedule varies each day, so on days I need to rise at 4am, my fitbit correctly records my 250 steps, however, there will be days I rise later. I will change my settings in my app to reflect my schedule. The problem is: later in the week, while reviewing my activity for the week, the days I rise later, I will be missing hours, despite the fitbit device successfully acknowledging when I achieve 14 hours of 250+ step activity each day.
I have tried to change my settings after achieving a 14-hour activity acknowledgement on the Blaze, in preparation for the next day, however, this will then change my current settings for the day, the Blaze then reflects that I have not indeed achieved my step goal, despite moments ago being alerted for successfully achieving 14 hours of activity. Very confusing.
I have restarted my blaze according to other users' posts, but this problem persists.
Furthermore: is there any way to retro-actively correct where the fitbit has incorrectly recorded/lost my steps?
Thank you very much in advance for your support & good luck with your fitness goals!

I believe when reviewing past days Fitbit uses your current hourly setting as a refference.. I know this is the case for the daily goal.
Of course restarting the tracker at best will only affect the future data and certainly will not change any data that has all ready synced to your fitbit account.

A warm welcome to the Community @PayAaronJ and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
I would like to know if you keep having inconveniences with your hourly steps information? Are you verifying that your tracker is syncing properly at the moment of making any changes?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you Alejandra,
My problem persists with the hourly steps.
My tracker syncs successfully; it is working correctly.
My problem is that if I deviate from my predetermined "start time," and make the changes (in the app) afterwards, the information about all of my previous days will take to the new entered information.
When I set the "start time" and "end time," I believe Fitbit's expectation is that I remain true to this routine each day.
However, my schedule varies,I wish my tracker would track my steps more efficiently.
For example,Monday, I started tracking hourly activity at 6am.
If on Tuesday I wanted to start tracking activity at 5am, after making the changes in the app,
my 14 hours of activity would be changed (by the app) to 13 hours of activity, and this applies to the record of all my previous data as well. I have verified this to be true.
