Blaze not syncing to Mac or iPhone

I have had my Blaze for a couple years now and it continues to get worse in regards to synching with my MacBook! The FitBit app refuses to open if I dare not use it for more than two days and I have to delete the current one and download the app again and relaunch. This happens at least twice a month. When I do get the app to launch and attempt to synch at least 30% of the time I get an "unknown error has occurred!" message that usually resolves itself in a day or so. Its absolute garbage! I am using a MacBook and a new iPhone not some 7-11 toy machine that no one writes apps for, how can this be in 2018? I like the Blaze hardware but the software is complete **ahem** and I will never buy another product from these idiots again!

Hi there @RonEllington. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems getting your Blaze to connect to your Mac computer.

I'm not really sure what could be causing this and it totally seems like a glitch, so I apologize about that.

Now when it comes to your Blaze not syncing to your iPhone, that's strange. I'd like to know which iPhone you're using to sync. You can try giving your Blaze a restart. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Also, make sure that you have the latest version for the Fitbit app on your Blaze and make sure that you don't have any updates pending for your tracker. (The updates will appear on the app in a pink button letting you know that there's an update available for your Blaze)

Also, you could try setting up your tracker as a new device after you've restarted it. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps and if you need anything else, I'll be happy to provide further assistance.
