Blaze not syncing to android

I have a charge and was given a blaze yesterday as a gift . Both are working perfectly on iOS with my iPad . Android , Samsung S5 is a different story . Using the Fitbit app I removed the Blaze and added again . The blaze now shows as connected to the device but it does not sync. When I open Bluetooth on my Samsung phone the blaze is displayed as a paired device so that I'm sure the two devices can see each other. The charge is still syncing.

Any advice ?

With my S5 I found if I did not have enough free memory..

So I would swipe unneeded apps out of memory, restart phone, restart tracker. Usually I tried a sync after each step. The one that worked is the first I try next time.

Removing the blaze from the phones Bluetooth is also a good idea. I would not worry about removing anything else, but turning off a Bluetooth speaker may help.

Also try cellular if your I omg WiFi.

I was told by Fitbit support that the Fitbit does not support phone and text notifications on Android yet. Just music controls. Whether that is a lie or not I do not know but that is what I was told. I get a different story about different things every time I call. So I don't know what to believe.

Fitbit support says that with the new update many choices were removed from the app and that notifications do not work with Android. Also, it will only pair as Classic on about 50% of the Blazes. They are "supposed" to be working on a fix.

That is incorrect. Notifications have been working in the trackers that allow for them for several years now on Android. They are enabled within the Fitbit app and then you have to also choose which text, phone, calendar, email and 3rd party apps you want them to come from. Note, not all of these notifications are available with all trackers, but they are with the Blaze.

There may also be a setting in your phones sound settings. Enable notifications on the lock screen.

If you don't get notifications on the phones lock screen, you will not get them on the tracker

I have followed all instructions for allowing notifications. I can still control music but even though I have set my default notification apps for Messenger for text, Outlook for email, calls, etc. I receive nothing. It just always says All Caught Up and when I try to send a test Notification nothing happens. I have unpaired and restarted the Blaze and reconnected it to Bluetooth but still nothing. If this does work, can someone tell me how to do it?

And I have notifications turned ON for my Lockscreen on my phone too. And my Lockscreen Notifications say that Fitbit Notifications are turned ON, but I get nothing.

Have you swiped down on the clock to confirm notifications are turned on?

While I understand how to remove the Blaze from the Bluetooth menu, I don't understand what is meant by and reconnected it. This reconnect ion can not be done by the user, it is the job of the app. If you did connect through the phones Bluetooth, please remove it and let the app do the connection.

Is Fitbit notifications and always connected enabled? The phone restarted?

I unpaired it from Bluetooth and shutdown bluetooth then shutdown the phone. I turned off bluetooth on Blaze. I then turned everything back on and turned on bluetooth on Blaze and then on phone.. I let phone find Blaze(Classic) because it will not connect to just Blaze and once it was connected to Blaze classic I made sure all the settings you guys have told me about were correct including Fitbit notifications and Always On. But I still get nothing. I even allowed a number of texts to build up without answering them or opening them on phone to see if maybe 2 or more were needed. Plus I get no notifications when receiving emails or phone calls. Nothing for calendar events either. It says Notifications On right above my music controls but all I ever see is All Caught Up - No Notifications. This is my second Blaze and same thing on both except my first one would connect as Blaze or Blaze (Classic) while this one doesn't.
