Blaze not syncing to app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

My Blaze is not automatically syncing with my Andriod App.  The App is set to "all day sync."  I have toggled that off and then back on.  I have restarted my phone.  I have restarted my Blaze.  It still will not automatically sync to the app - I have to open the App and sync to get it to update.

I have used many trackers - the surge, Charge, and Charge HR -- and did not encounter this issue with any of these.  I still use the Surge and it continues to automatically sync despite the Blaze's failure to do the same.

Please help!!  This is driving me crazy.  Thanks!

I had this exact same issue with my new Fitbit Blaze and Google Pixel XL handset - very frustrating!

In the end installing Microsoft Outlook on my handset (don't have to use it) meant that for some reason my Fitbit would sync again with my phone.

Read this solution on an android forum, not sure why it works but it has fixed my syncing issues for now.

Hope it will help others.

I have had this problem before and I have solved it.  Note that I have Fitbit blaze and and IPhone6s.

1) On Fitbit Blaze - Reset by pushing the left button and the bottom right button at the same time until the Fitbit diamond comes up on the screen.

2) On your phone: Go to your Bluetooth settings, choose the blaze and use FORGET THIS DEVICE.

3) Go to the Fitbit App on your phone.  Set up a new device.  Choose the blaze and follow the prompts.  It will ask for the 4 digit code on your blaze (it will be there) - type it into the app.

4) Follow the rest of the directions on the app

I just did this this morning as I hadn't worn my Fitbit Blaze for over a week and the battery had completely died, so I charged it and reset it as noted above. It will sync up the time and the watch to the phone app.

Good Luck

Lori

it works as a long term fix for you!

The syncing issues with Android devices is uncalled for... they are aware of a problem but aren't fixing it... I even went ahead and unpaired my device 2 days ago, and now it keeps saying that pairing has been rejected by the Blaze. I'm fortunate I have an apple device at home, otherwise it would be almost a week of no syncing. Obviously trouble shooting isn't working, and something else is behind it.

My Blaze is in and out whether it wants to communicate with my Android. Recently just over an hour off on clock face,

will not change clock face with app. Thinking I will toss this $300 "smart watch" in the trash as I have tried everything I can find on line and only get more frustrated. Would rather have a fix but running out of time and patience to look any further.

I have...I spent weeks doing every trouble shooting (I do mean every) one
out there. I may have found a work around, that is easy for me! I have a
kindle fire. I loaded the fitbit app onto it, and synced my blaze to the
Kindle, it is syncing perfectly! Happy dancing, now this is only day 2 but
thats 2 days more of it working than the weeks that it didn't! So now I
wear it for my work outs, and my Alta for everyday steps, walks, etc.

This is ridiculous. I've had my blaze for a year now and still have problems syncing. And the worst thing is there are always updates and have to work thru same issues to reconnect. I have a $6 light bulb that has a bluetooth speaker that instantly syncs whenever light is turned on. Even when I'm on a different floor in the house. This should have been fixed long ago.

Disappointing.

You've done well to last that long, I had mine for about 4 months before I gave up on Fitbit ever adding support for my Moto Z or Moto G4 Plus. Syncing was never reliable and notifications never worked.

I ended up selling mine and have switched to a Garmin device than just works.
