Blaze not turning on

I have had the Blaze for a little over a week.  It was working fine until yesterday.  The screen is black, green lights are flashing on the back, it charged over night... but will not turn on.

Hi Hayden 🙂

You can perform a Factory Reset.

Here's FB's guide to doing that ====> http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

Hope this helps.

I've just bought a Blaze and absolutely love it.

@SunsetRunner the link you posted is not to a factory reset, but to a forced restart.

A factory reset will disconect the tracker from its Fitbit account, currently only the Charge and Charge HR have the ability to do a factory reset.

@hayden516 Some useers have reported that going through the settings menu on the Blaze an doing a shutdown, fixes problems that the restart doesnt.

I assume becauss a shutdown actually turns tge power off, and will reset any stuck hardware

Apologies @hayden516 and @Rich_Laue, I had the best of intentions.

Thanks for clearing it up, @Rich_Laue, and Hayden I hope all's well with your Blaze now.

Mine is fantastic!

@SunsetRunner maybe i came out a rather to harsh, yes the link you provided is a good thing to try.

I really just wanted to point out that it only restarts, amd hopefully resets any stuck hardware are software. It is not a factory reset, which could add more problems.

No offence taken, @Rich_Laue.

The important thing is to get the right info to @hayden516 and you did that.

Thanks for your input (and I'll be more careful with posting in future, no matter how well intentioned 🙂 )

This is one of the things I really appreciate about the FB community.

People genuinely go out of their way to help.

Press the left button and the lower right button simultaneously and hold for ten seconds. This will reset the device and it was most likely a firmware issue that caused the screen to go black.

Hi there @rbailey67. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

That's exactly how you restart a Fitbit Blaze. Are you having problems with yours or do you need help with anything? If so, let me know. I'll be happy to help!
