Blaze notification keeps randomly changing

Hi,

I've done this a few times now where I only selected text messages to get notified on and turn all other notifications off...and it'll work as selected but then towards the end of the night I will start getting my whatsapp, messenger, and other notifications alerting me of messages when I'd rather those stay off. So then I go back into the app and deselect all the platforms and repeat the process all over again.

Why does it keep reverting back to selecting all platforms to notify me about?

Thanks!

It's great to welcome you @cokes717. Are you making sure to sync your tracker with every change? If you are and this continues being an issue, I recommend disable this option directly from your tracker by pressing the upper right button of the Blaze and then turn off the notifications.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes. Woman Happy

I'm having the same issue. I want to get notifications from hangouts and allo. I'll go through the settings and check them. It may work for 2 days but then suddenly I'm not getting important messages. I go back into the settings and they are unchecked again. It's gotten to the point where I check my settings every morning so I know I'm not going to miss something important.

I'm having a similar problem with my iPhone and Blaze.  I turned on the calls, text, and events notifications and several iOS app notifications within the FitBit app.  That all works fine and I got all notifications on the Blaze.  Then I decided to turn off a couple of the app notifications within the FitBit app, but they continued to send notifications to the Blaze.  I checked and they were still turned "off" in the FitBit app.  I synced after each change.

Great to see you here @Hyltoncr and @KJS_VA. If you are having problems with your notifications, I recommend following the instructions provided by @MarreFitbit if you have an Android in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post, now if you have an iOS follow the steps in the My Tracker isn't receiving notifications (iOS Fitbit app) post.

Keep in mind that with every change you make, you need to sync your tracker.

@AlejandraFitbit The problem is the settings randomly change on their own. I literally go in every morning and recheck and re-uncheck multiple apps and then sync. The next morning I will have to do it all again and sometimes it does even last that long. I sync after every change.

Thanks for the information @Hyltoncr. If you haven't tried this, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your Fitbit app. After this, please test this feature.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

On your advice I Uninstalled and reinstalled. None of my notifications are coming through though the preferences are now saving and I'm having trouble syncing.

Maybe because the blaze keeps thinking that you have not turned off notifications. I think you should restart the blaze.

I believe I may have finally gotten it to work. I'll give it another 24 hours to be sure then I'll update with the details

Mine is finally working properly. After I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app my tracker refused to sync it kept telling that my Bluetooth needed to be restated. I ended up going in and deleting my tracker from my account entirely and re-adding it. It now works beautifully (other than the music controls which never worked for me because technically my phone isn't supported) hope this helps someone else!

I am having a similar problem with e-mail notifications.  I'll turn them off, but then they turn back on after my phone restarts (like when the battery dies).  I know the phone-restart is the trigger.

I've used the upper-right button to turn off all notifications many times. Yet it keeps randomly turning itself back on and I get random text messages. VERY annoying, and I'd really rather avoid uninstalling / reinstalling the app and going through the re-sync headache others in this post are encountering.

Same issue here. Have you found any other solution where you don't have to uninstall Fitbit?
