Looking to upgrade from my Charge HR. Is the Blaze really worth the extra? I'm looking at the Blaze vs Alta HR. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there @miss_p86. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 😄

I'm glad to hear that you're considering an upgrade for your Charge HR. From my very personal perspective, I would totally recommend the Fitbit Blaze. First of all and the reason why I like it so much is because of the colored display. At least in my case, I feel more attracted to a colored display than to a black/white screen so that's a big plus for me.

Also, the notifications. You can not only receive calls and text notifications but also third party notifications. Which means that you'll notified for Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp and any other app you have on your phone.

Exercise shortcuts are a great way to keep track of your exercise routines. You can record them from your tracker directly and once you're done, the exercise log will appear on your dashboard. With the Alta HR, you can not do this but you can only track your exercise with SmartTrack detection which automatically does this for you but once you've been on the activity for at least 10 minutes.

Bands are interchangable so that means that you can match the look on your Blaze to your outfit or to the occasion as well as the frame.

If you'd like to see all the details that the Fitbit Blaze has to offer, you can see them here. And also if you'd like to see more about the Alta HR, see it here.

Hope this helps you make your mind and if you need more help, let me know! 🙂

From my perspective i would go with the Blaze, but i am not you.

What is it that you "need" to have in a tracker?

What is it that you "want" in a tracker?

Is there anything that you could "live" without?

If younwould like to know what wed recommend for you, them we need to know somethong about you. There is a reason Fitbit has 7 different trackers, one size really doesnt fit everybody

Just to offer an alternative answer. What I find appealing about the Alta HR is the size. I've never enjoyed the large retro square shape from the Blaze. When doing pushups, yoga, that's most noticeable but it never has been a real hassle. I am myself in a undecided state. Like first reply said, the Blaze is colorful and has great display options, and I really use the various exercise recordings. But the Alta is sleek and thin and I imagine would feel lighter and look better to me.

Hey @SunsetRunner. Great to see you in the Community Forums and thanks for participating!

I do agree when it comes to the size. However, I can't really resist a colorful display haha.
