Just got this a few days ago. Today it showed I walked over 8,000 steps so far and climbed 20 floors. I sat at a desk all day never climbed any stairs and surely didn't walk 8,000 steps. Did I get a lemon?

@RobertLaytonWelcome... Let's see how we can help..
Firstly,. in an airconditioned building moving between different airpressure areas will cause floors to be generated because of the changes in airpressure. The inbuilt altimeter uses airpressure. The same will happen if you are out walking in a blustry windy environment or a cold front approaches.
Secondly, if you go to your PC Dashboard by clicking this link you can examine where the steps and floors were created. This helps us define the problem. Hovering over each bar gives you each 5 minute increment,

A warm welcome to the Forums @RobertLayton and @Colinm39 thanks for stopping by.
The information that our friend here provided is really accurate, where you doing anything else besides being in your desk? I recommend restarting your Blaze and to negate that extra information, you can manually log the activity "Driving" by doing the following from a computer:
1. Go to the Activities page by clicking Log at the top of your dashboard, then click Activities.
2. Under Log Activities, click a common activity or search for your activity in the search box.
3. Select your activity from the search results. If the activity is not in our system, you have the option to create your own activity by clicking the Create custom activity text that will appear below the search field.
4. Enter the duration, distance (if applicable), and start time of your activity. You have the option to manually enter the number of calories burned here if you'd like to.
5. Click Log Activity. Your activity will now be visible and editable in the Logged Activities area.
Catch you later.
