Blaze resetup issue

I recently just got the fitbit Blaze from one of my friends. They had already connected the Blaze to thier phone and used it for a while. He doesnt use it anymore and gave it to me. The Blaze still gets his messages and I cant seem to disconnect it myself.  Is there a way for me to completely reset this watch so I can sync it to my phone and get my messages on it?

What a nice friend you have.

You want to make sure your friend has removed the Blaze from his phones Bluetooth sertings,  or you might recieve his messages when he is nearby. As for the messages all on it, scroll to the bottom amd tap clear all.

 

Next thing is to add the Blaze to your account, this can be done through the phone app,  settings - devices - then press the plus sign amd follow the prompts. 

Once it is connrcted it will be removed from their phone,  tho he might have done this already.

Hello @Mang0 welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 it's great to have you here in the Blaze family. As @Rich_Laue mentioned your friend needs to remove the tracker from his account and phone settings this way you won't receive his messages. Then you need to set up the tracker to your account and set up the message notifications on your phone. You can find more information about notifications on this post and if you need set up instructions for the tracker this help article will guide you though the steps.
