Blaze screen freezing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi there. My blaze has decided to throw a tantrum. It is stuck on one screen. The left hand button does nothing when pressed and neither does swiping the screen left or right. The 2 right hand buttons still work and the device is still recording information. I have tried restarting the blaze with no affect. Has anyone else had this or have any suggestions. Many thanks in advance.

Hi there @Graeme76. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 😄

I'm very sorry to hear that your Blaze is frozen and that the buttons won't respond at all 😕

What I can think or right now since you mentioned you've already tried to restart it to no avail is that you keep using it as you normally do and wait for the battery to run out. Since it's still recording your information, be sure to sync it as you regularly do and once it dies, charge it up and see if it works fine again. If it's still stuck, try to restart it again once it's back up and see if anything changes.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

My FitBit Blaze has also frozen.  The battery was low so I put it into the charger.   The blue dotted screen appeared and that's all I have seen for the last 4 hours.  It should be charged by now, but I can't turn it off, the buttons have no effect.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forums @cmt339! 🙂

I'm sorry you're also having this problem 😕

Can you please try to restart your tracker at least three or four times? If you have not tried this, you can easily do it by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend the same as above... Leave the battery to run out and once it's dead, put it to charge again and see if that makes any difference.

Let me know how it goes!

did you try the restart holding the left button and the lower right button down at the same time till it vibrates...about 15 sec... then wait for it to start back up, took mine about 20 sec...

Hi there @ajbmdb @Nicoe, great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

@Nicoe, I can also recommend changing the clock face on your tracker and see if this makes it to unfreeze. For this, go to your app, tap on your tracker at the top, then scroll down to the Clock Faces option, choose a different clock face and get your tracker to sync.

Syncing should make the display to unfreeze so let me know how it goes. After that, you can choose any other clock face that you like.

thanks for the suggestion. I ended up having to bring it back to best buy where they honored my warranty and got a new one. If it happens again I will surely try changing the watch face to force a sync.

My screen didn't freeze but kept blinking. It was tracking as it should. I rebooted it as suggested and the blinking has stopped.

My screen has been frozen since this morning.  It froze while on the charger.  Now, all it shows is a thermometer with an orange flame on top.

I've tried rebooting it by pressing the left and bottom-right buttons.  It doesn't seem to do anything while off the charger (when the reset buttons are pressed), but if I put it on the charger and then press these buttons, it 'blinks' after about 10 seconds, but does nothing else - and the thermometer screen stays.

I put it in the fridge, and it woke up.  That doesn't make much sense to me, because it was only in normal room temperature and on my wrist all day, and it goes through the exact same routine every day.

Any suggestions?
