Blaze screen goes blank

Hi! I’ve come across a ton of posts regarding the issue I’m having with my Fitbit Blaze but I cannot find a solution that will help.

I have a Fitbit Blaze that I’ve had for maybe 1.5-2 years now and it has just been sitting in a drawer, dead, for about 8 months. I just received a new charger today and charged it up, and it now reads full battery when connected to the charger, but when I disconnect it, the screen goes black and I cannot turn it back on until I put it back on the charger.

I have tried doing the reset with the left and bottom right buttons maybe 30 times now and it will not work, the screen stays black. When connected to the charger, the clock appears and I can swipe up and down. I was able to sync it to my phone while on the charger and update it, so everything should be good to go, but it just will not stay on once I remove it from the charger, despite having a full battery! Can someone help me? Thank you in advance!
