Blaze setup help

Hi. I'm already using a surge and I'm trying to add new blaze to the app. While the app has identified the device and setup is complete with number validation but the device screen is still showing the set up message. I have restarted my phone, unpaired devices, nothing has helped. Tried restarting the Blaze but that's not happening for some odd reason. Pls suggest what should I do or check to ensure I can move forward from the setup message on the blaze for it to start tracking.

How are you trying to do the pairing? Fitbits are unusual in that they need to be paired via the fitbit app rather than the phone's bluetooth settings. This article has some guidelines that will hopefully help:

You need to plug the fitbit into or connect by Bluetooth to the computer
and download the necessary software to pair it with your phone. That's what
I had to do and I have had no issue ever since.

Connect it to your computer and download the software from the website, it
will set up then

 I have a fitbit blaze, trying to do set up, on my computer it went as far as the update mode, shows connected by bluetooth.  Won't go past that step.  blaze still shows setup screen.  Tried to set up on iphone 5.  shows connected by bluetooth but when i go to the meet your blaze screen shows to be searching, then screen goes to "not working". ive tried all three suggestions.  No matter what I do, I can't go past this step.  Blaze still shows setup screen.

My new fitbit blaze won't sync to my computer and all the screen shows is the fitbit icon and says fitbit.com/setup. What do i do

Howdy do...I purchased a BLaze and have the same issue as Rashmi...The Blaze device still indicates setup. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

@ImMarie ok, but may we know what device your using to set the Blaze up with?

Also at what step does it fail?

  • Does the Blaze turn on
  • Does the app find the Blaze
  • Does a confirmation number show up on the Blaze
  • Are you able to enter the number in
  • Does the app say the Blaze needs an update
  • Does the update fail, if so whatbis the error if any

I cant find the post you are refferring to.

@JAMGTR the message you're seeing is telling you that the unit needs to be setup.

See @SteveH's post above for instructions.

Just receive a brand new Fitbit blaze but the clock face only show fitbit.com/setup. So how to proceed. I have tried to reset but nothing happend.

You need to plug into computer and set up that way

Same here!! I never got my screen to change from fitbit.com/setup. Returning it in the morning and done with fitbit and the whole craze. I'll just keep using the apps on my phone.

It was an easy fix, all you had to do was connect it to your computer

New fit bit blaze still showing "could not complete update".  Using windows ten, I have unindastalled and installed the app so i know it is the latest version, then i have blaze plugged i via dongle and have gone through all stages right from the begining and still getting the same message.

 

Any help?

Hi @JRDS are you having trouble setting up your Blaze or was it working but has now stopped?

You need to unfortunately set up through your computer to get it to connect
