This does not happen on my Blaze. Just to test out the motion theory, I have a friend that works for GO Transit here in Toronto. I told him I wanted to see if the Blaze detected steps and stairs while the train is in motion while I'm looking out the window. The steps and stairs to get in and out of the locomotive via the side ladders (has a cowl carbody), counted, as I would expect because they aren't stairs in say an office building. These go straight up and down. He invited me into the cab of the locomotive and I took the conductors seat. I sat with my arm supporting my head, Blaze facing the window and noted the steps before the journey. At 60mph, there was no change in steps. He got to an area where I told him to yank it wide open. Train hit 70mph, then 80mph, then 90mph. I'm watching the speedometer pretending that I'm bored while the locomotive lurches up and down, Blaze facing the window. Even though it's all continuious welded rail, you'd still be amazed at how much the train bounces up and down. We finally reach the end of the line. Result? Steps stayed the same. Even though this was done on a train, I can expect the same to happen on a bus. Which is zero for a step count and stair count while in motion. In effect, I don't have that issue.
As for your syncing issues, I find that once I schecule a sync, sometimes in the worst case scenario, it can take 30-45 minutes to finally update my dashboard on the app and on fitbit.com. But you also have to take into account Internet traffic. Most nights, it's done in a couple of minutes. I only sync to my phone 3 times when I'm not using Bluetooth. I have the all day sync option on however.

All I can say here is lucky for some! 😉
Even as a passanger I'v noticed that on the cobbled streets and super potholed roads I can watch the steps climb up a bit with the motion of the bus and have turned it off myself to avoid additional steps on certain roads in my city. I can sync far easier than my other half, so turning it on and off doesnt bother me as much as it's bothering him!
He's got the all day sync on but it just never seems to connect often. In order for him to get the update on his fitbit, he ended up doing it via my phone. So it's purely to do with his phone, but we can't figure out why it's like that!

Sounds like a phone issue. If he can sync it with yours, and update his Dashboard, you can rule out the Blaze and Bluetooth right there.
But then again why turn it off? I leave mine on constantly. Don't fall into those craters. I have an Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (the 4GB/64GB version). It's not on the "supported list", but if I wasn't able to install the app, Google would've told me that it was not compatible with my device. So far I haven't had issues.

I think it's important that the company know this issue is a problem for many customers. The workaround of never turning it off is not a good choice. It's a defect, and they need to fix it.
If someone turns it off *for any reason*, is it reasonable to have to take the time to babysit a sync for 30-60 minutes until it works? We all know syncing hardly ever works the first time, and it requires an internet connection. Yesterday while I got ready for work, I had to keep checking the sync and it took 7 tries and 40 minutes to work. Bad way to start the day.
Fitbit : please fix this. My other solution barring a fix is to go back to wearing a watch until I buy a different brand of tracker or smart watch, plus recommend to anyone who askd NOT to buy Fitbit.

My sentiments exactly!
This new "feature" caused me to be late for an important meeting as I had turned off the fitbit during my shower. It's simply not acceptable for the fitbit to lose time whenever it is turned off.

That could be justifiable if we knew that at purchase but to change the "game" afterwards......is this Fitbit or Apple?

The whole premise of never turing it off, is because of it's features. Then you'll have someone complaing there's a gap in their heart rate when they forgot they shut it off. I've had my Blaze for a month. I've restarted it only once. I've never shut it off. I'm going to have to agree with FitBit on that one. The only time my phone is really off, is when it's restarting, or I have to shut the phone off because there are signs posted that cellphones must be turned off. For me, restarting anything fixes whatever issues I'm having.
7 tries and 40 minutes? At least it's trying. Don't expect instant results when it comes to the Internet. We all know how that plays out. Eventually from your wording it finally synced with the online Dashboard. So my question is, and not to be rude, what's the issue? Over the weekend mine took 6 tries and about an hour just to hit FitBit. I sync mine just after waking up. (I work 3rd shift) I hit the shower. Shave, and get out and get dressed, still trying to sync. This is at the 30 minute mark. It's still syncing when I'm on the way to work. Finally an hour after I initiated the sync, which is around the time I'm arriving to work my phone dashboard is updated which also means my profile on fitbit.com is also updated. I never complained about that. Ever stop and think about your connection? If it's a cellphone and it gets congested on the tower you're connected to, you're going to run into that. Everyone is trying to use it. Like rush hour traffic. If it updated the app, you have nothing to worry about. Sync it, then forget about it. Eventually it'll update.
I also don't get the babysititng thing. I have all day sync on when my Bluetooth is on. If I'm listening to music through Bluetooth, expect the watch to sync at some point. My Bluetooth is off when I don't need to use it.
Not to be rude again, that's not an issue. I gave a perfect example. I'm not saying this to be an a------ but you have to look at it that way. The Internet, just like traffic, gets congested at times.
Did you read the spec sheet on the watch? It can hold 7 days of minute by minute summaries, and 30 days of daily summaries. I wouldn't worry about the watch not syncing. Eventually it will sync.
Once again, not meant to offend. I used the ------ because this is not the Grand Theft Auto V forums where it's a lot more R and X rated in those forums than this and I'm a Commisioner in a Crew. I have to keep this somewhat PG rated. Hence the self censorship.

Unlike some of the other brands, fitness tracker a on the market are susceptible to full steps during driving, Fitbit has a way to delete these steps.
There also is an app called Drivebit to help with this.

Hi there @SharonMMcMillan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums!
If the time on your tracker is not showing right, make sure that your tracker is syncing as the time updates when you sync your Blaze. This is very important in cases where you've turned your tracker off or the battery dies and you charge it. When it comes back on, the time might not be correct so syncing it will fix the problem.
If you're having problems to get your tracker to sync, you can try to restart your Blaze. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. After that, try to get your Blaze to sync and see if this fixes the time.
Let me know how it goes!

I am 100% with LK777 on this. It is not a "feature" to not be able to turn off the device. I for one do not like sleeping with the watch on and I don't like having green flashing lights all night next to me or want to waste the battery. The device cannot be used as a watch the way it is now. Please go back to the way it was. I also have had problems when I didn't realize the time was off by 15-20 minutes.

Hi there @Dmignone. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and I totally understand where you're coming from. However, in the meantime, if you take off your tracker while sleeping, to avoid the inconvenient of having the lights flashing at you during the night, you can swipe to the last screen on your Blaze to find the settings. Tap on that and scroll down to "Heart Rate". Here you can choose it to be on Auto or on Off. In Auto mode, the lights will only work when you have the tracker on so if you take it off during the night, you will be saving battery and the lights will not bother you.
If you need anything else, let me know. I'll be happy to help!

Hi there @KaylaH2k17. Great to see you around!
Let me just get this straight... So, you're having problems with the time showing up incorrectly on your tracker and when you set it up as a new device, it connects but then goes to the clock face showing the incorrect time. Is that correct?
@CTONE Thanks for jumping in and sharing these tips with us! Great to see you in the Forums!
