I have a Fitbit Blaze. (I am 6 feet tall, if that helps.)
There is a stretch near my office that Google Maps shows as 340 m. When I walk that stretch, Fitbit shows anything between 220 m and 300 m. It depends on the speed at which I walk - the faster I walk, the lesser the distance that Fitbit shows.
Would like to know why this happens, and how I get accurate distances. Thank you.

First we need to find out if you have your phone with you and using the connected GPS?
As for distance, without the GPS this is determined by the stride. Fitbit assumes that everyone is average., probably not and you might want to set your stride so Fitbit knows how long your step is.
OK I see you have discovered one problem with stride versus speed. As the speed increases so does the stride. It is best to figure the average stride over 5-10 walks, this way the distance will be close.

Thank you so much for the reply, Rich_Laue, and apologies for the delayed response.
I was not using the phone (I have an iPhone 6S) and connected GPS. After this response I turned on data in my phone and Bluetooth, but I'm afraid the issue persists - distance fluctuates wildly with my walking speed. "Location" is turned on for the FitBit app on my phone.
Will appreciate any pointers. Thank you again.
