I've had the Zip and the One over the past 4 years. Just got the Blaze for Christmas. Everyday it's counting 2000-4000 LESS steps than I used to get. My routine hasn't changed. (Ive even tried putting it in my pocket while pushing carts, carrying bags, etc. after reading other blogs). I've tested my steps with several others people that use the arm type Fitbit and mine is still way off. I haven't met my 10,000 step goal sine getting the Blaze! Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forums @DawnDee. Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Regarding to your inconvenience, I recommend restarting your Blaze and check your stride length information. The Blaze can do this automatically but you can check it by following the instructions in this post.
Let me know the outcome.

Hello! I've tried the suggested steps to getting an accurate step count. After entering my stride length and restarting my Fitbit several times it is still undercounting. I've tested it 3 times over the last 3 days...manually counting steps and it is still under. I just waked 145 steps (manually counting) and the Fitbit is showing 64.

I don't get it. Why would a different stride length affect the step count accuracy? A step is still a step, right?

Hello Dawn,
Did you get an answer to this? I have the same issue. I have also tried restarting but that hasn't helped.
