Blaze stuck on logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My FitBit blaze was fine and then all of a sudden it is stuck on the FitBit dot logo.  I have tried all methods of rebooting and also charging the unit.  The APP (iOS) can only search for the device, but does not connect and cannot update.  My unit is also out of warranty.

Is it basically a lost cause?

If it show the Fitbit logo and he setup message. Then the tracker needs to be setup.

No, it doesn't need to be setup as I've been using it for 1.5 years.  It's stuck on the logo with no prompts and this happened after recent update. Even my APP cannot connect to it and I've exhausted all rebooting methods and connect/disconnect via Bluetooth.

Hey there @SwooshLife, welcome to the Community and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

I appreciate the efforts in trying to fix this issue. Have you tried to set up your Blaze as a new device? If you haven't, I recommend doing the following from your Fitbit app:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

I have done all of the rebooting methods, removed device and now trying to search for it again, but it remains undetected.  Phone shows as constantly “LOOKING” for the device.  The Blaze itself just blinks on the ico, like it wants to restart but cant.

Not real happy that my unit.  Unit is 1.5 years old of its life and it’s basically falling apart.  The heart rate lights dont work after 1 year, the band was already replaced by support after 8 months and now it’s just basically failing at everything.

Have you found an answer for this yet? Mine started doing this a few days ago!

Negatory. Waiting for a moderator, but I really think an Apple Watch is in my future. These 1 and done generation units just don't hold over time. It's unfortunate.

My blaze got stuck on start screen and just kept restarting.  I tried downloading fitbit app to update and also reset the watch, both didn't work.  I then called customer service and they were not able to fix.  Since my watch is over a year old (15 months), they were unwilling to replace and offered me 25% off a new one.  I'll take a hard pass and just buy a cheaper watch that will work longer than a year.  Reading through a lot of forums, this seems to be a common problem.  I would really recommend evaluating other products before buying a FitBit.

I've always updated my unit and kept my software updated, but all it did was "brick" my watch.  I've tried every rebooting/restart method known to FitBit and all of them failed.  I was always more focused on the fitness aspect of FitBit devices over other wearables that mainly focused on 3rd Party or Proprietary software (Apple) which is why I stuck with FitBit for over 3 years.

Moderators discontinued responding to my posts and so now my unit is essentially recycle fodder.  A coupon to stay with a brand that will only have 1 generation is just not in my best interests anymore.  I've been reviewing lots of wearables and there is a rumored Apple Watch 4, but will wait until Apple WWDC to see if they announce anything other than software.  If it bumps the cost down of an Apple Watch 3, I will be jumping ship.

Thanks for the reply!

@SwooshLife have you sent any messages to a moderator or tagged them in your posts. This community forum is about Fitbit users helping each other out. Moderators are here to moderate, not answer every question.

However by tagging them you will get their attention and a better chance of a response.

@Rich_Laue I'm basically done with FitBit products and my unit has been out of warranty for some time now.  It's not necessary for me to continue to tag moderators like @AlejandraFitbit if coupon offers are the only offer from FitBit CS to try and keep me in the product family.

I appreciate the support, but I'm basically done here.

Mine is now starting to do this as well...went through the reinitialize on fitbit app, but have the same symptom after doing so.  It's now gone a step further and just prompt to be set up every time i plug it into the charger, but after setting up will not swipe to get to data

A bug/glitch that hasn’t been resolved. As or right now, it doesn’t matter anymore because I have an Apple Watch 3 and i have moved on from Fitbit and it’s one generation watch products.image.jpg
