Ive just purchased a blaze today having changed from the flex, i has been on charge since 5pm and currently still states battery empty, there is power going to the blaze but it isnt holding the power when i remove it, any suggestions?

Huh, that sounds strange @Queenshannon. When you take it out of the charging cradle, does it show the low battery icon or at the top right corner along with the clock face or it shows just a black screen flashing a low battery icon in red?
Have you tried by any chance to restart it? If not, You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. After that, put it to charge again and if possible, change it to any other power source to see if there's any difference.
