How many times, ever, in your life do you remember a person asking a company a question about unreleased products, and that company spilling all the information about their future product plans?
Hopefully that answers your question.

@DonnaLomax Now that Flex 2 and Charge 2 have been released, its reasonable to think a "Surge 2" is next. The current Surge has some industrial design issues that need to be fixed (integrated band failures, not swim proof, etc). And you wouldn't know its the most expensive Fitbit when comparing against some features found on the Blaze and Charge 2.
Of course without any leaks on the Internet, we are all guessing if there will be a "Surge 2" and what it will look like. And I agree with you, it would be smart for Fitbit to base the "Surge 2" on Blaze form factor (slightly larger for battery and GPS) and basic design (watch style, replaceable bands).
Given Fitbit's apparent love for completely different tracker looks, and a unique proprietary charger for each tracker, I'm not so sure the "Surge 2" (if it appears) will look anything like the Blaze.
Fitbit isn't like Microsoft, where we know a year or two in advance what the future of Windows will bring. If Fitbit does roll out a "Surge 2" we will find out shortly before it becomes available.

I'm sure there are ideas from users, but as a fellow user I also have no idea

with a colour screen & notifications, I think an added gps chip would cause a lot of battery drain. I don't think even the Apple watch has it. I don't think we'll get a gps chip in the blaze for now and that's ok as the surge is targeted for those who want an even more dedicated fitness tracker than the blaze.

Currently the Gps on the Surge is actually pretty good, with a time of 10 hours for me and artery was still going.
The big thing would be internal room for the GPS and the antenna.
